Since the beginning of 2020 I teach students German (A1 - B2), help them with spoken language and preparing for exam. I see students as friends because I think it's easier for them to talk informally. But I will also correct you as a teacher and help you getting better.

My goal is to break the ice and try to get you comfortable speaking german. Mistakes are welcome ! It is not about how perfect somebody can speak a language, the goal is to be able to communicate with people. I want to find out which topics are interessting and fun for you, as I believe that you only stick with learning a langauge if you are having fun learning it.

I have always been tutoring others in languages as it is one of my key talents to explain difficulties to people in a thorough manner. Languages and teaching have always played a major role in my life. My first teaching experiences go back to when I was 12 years old, I helped friends with French. At the age of 15, it was drawings for art classes, and later on English and German. As a linguist at the university, the seminars were a bit more theoretical, but not only. Seminars such as Old English or The Development of Languages were actually quite practical in nature. Since I was also responsible for the training of future teachers, I did a lot of research in the field of second language acquisition, which influenced my own teaching style a lot.
