Seit meiner ersten Unterrichtserfahrung vor nunmehr 10 Jahren weiß ich, dass ich Deutsch unterrichten will. I am a very calm person which enables me to fully point my attention towards the student. I strive to cater my student with topics according to their levels. Never too easy, but just right to make my students sweat a little. I know how to motivate students in the right moments, in order for them to have fun while learning and having a guaranteed stamina. As I am from northern Germany, I have a big advantage over other German teachers. I speak "Hochdeutsch", which is a dialect and accent free version of German. Everybody will be able to understand you and you will be capable of understanding everyone, when you learn with me. Especially in the south and east people have strong dialects, which are not very easy to understand, even for natives. As I am becoming a teacher myself and am studying this subject at the university, I know what is important and what is not, in order to learn German fluently.

Languages and teaching have always played a major role in my life. My first teaching experiences go back to when I was 12 years old, I helped friends with French. At the age of 15, it was drawings for art classes, and later on English and German. As a linguist at the university, the seminars were a bit more theoretical, but not only. Seminars such as Old English or The Development of Languages were actually quite practical in nature. Since I was also responsible for the training of future teachers, I did a lot of research in the field of second language acquisition, which influenced my own teaching style a lot.

I am a very intuitive person and also very communicative. For me the essence of really mastering a language is showing in conversation and communication. That's why I focus on strengthening the confidence and comfort speaking the language the most.
