I intend to keep my classes entertaining and practical since this is the way to learn the most as I’ve experienced myself. We'll work with interesting texts about a lot of topics and also practice through common conversations. Just studying grammar and doing text book exercises is not the focus of my classes. so far i tought german, and spanish every once in a while when it was needed from friends or friends of them. i also give reading lessons in german. And i like it a lot. i am a very empathic and patient person, and i like to create a comfortable space where one does not feel the pressure of having to achieve anything for my sake. but to be shure one knows what he/she can achieve for themselves. to widen his or her range of talking, writing and understanding german. and i think the best way is to simply practice it.

I found that I really enjoy 1-1 teaching and had the opportunity through the last years teaching dozens of students online, to constantly improve on my methods and the way I give feedback. As I grew up in Northern Germany, I will teach you the „high-German“, without any dialect. That's the way people talk on TV and Radio.

I offer German/English conversation lessons for all levels as well as Italian and Spanish classes for beginner-intermediate levels. Note: While I do like emphasizing conversation, I know that many students will have different preferences and learning styles. Therefore I am flexible!

Teaching since 2016 I specialise in technical and general online language classes mainly for care personnel (nurses). I am highly experienced in using web based document annotation apps, communication and meeting platforms, virtual classrooms and Learning management systems. I hold a TELC examiner license for Deutsch B1-B2 +Pflege which also allows me insight and knowledge of test formats and the CEFR guidelines and level requirements. I can offer both general and intensive German classes from Beginners to advanced levels (up to C1/C2) including all 4 competency levels (Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading) as well as grammar reviews, exam preparation and proofreading.

I have been a Teacher on italki for several years. Before that I studied languages at the University (English, Spanish, French). I have a certificate for teaching languages to adult learners, but my experience expands to helping younger students with their school subjects (History, Literature and foreign languages). I come from a family of teachers. I had several opportunities to teach English to primary school classes. In my time as an Au pair in the USA, I also had my host kids as my first German students.

I studied Germanistic at the university in Kiev. Since 2010 I teach German and English and since 2016 Russian online. Some years ago I gained the experience teaching in private for max. 12 students. Lately I mostly give individual and also group lessons for max. 3 students online. I consider this way of teaching also efficient and meaningful.

As a teacher I aim to create a safe space for you, where you can be yourself and freely express your needs. The more you share your expectations with me, the more I'll be able to adapt myself and my teaching style to you. I am experienced with working with people of all ages. I enjoy working with students in groups and one-to-one sessions and love seeing them improve their german through my encouragement and tenacity. Fun is important and to create every lesson as unique as possible. I like to use role-plays and photocards in the lessons as that keeps the lessons exciting. Also, I use texts that are of interest to my students because I have improved my English grammar with reading. Most importantly it's the relaxed conversations in German I have with my students that improve my student's skills and gives them the confidence they need.

For me it's important to make sure that my students are confident in their skills to build upon them. Language learning often is hard and time consuming. So I want to make it as fun as possible by using media and motivate students by showing them what they have achieved so far using practical examples.
