My name is Alexandros Antypas and I am a professional German trainer with more than 8 years of online teaching experience. Areas of expertise: Goethe Zertifikat (A1-C2) preparation, vocabulary enrichment, grammar, business and everyday speaking.

I did some internships in schools and discovered how much fun it is to teach. I try to do the lessons in a relaxed and funny atmosphere without fear of mistakes.

I would be very happy to teach you these beautiful languages, to speak Italian, German and Swiss German with you and to answer all of your questions. I have been teaching Italian, German and Swiss German as Foreign Languages to all public, to children aged 7 to 12, to teenagers, and to adults. I've been teaching various courses in other areas. I really love this experience as I learn and grow as well.

I started teaching the people I have met during my travels and it has been very rewarding to see them making progress and achieving their goals. That is exactly the reason why I decided to become an online teacher.

I have always been tutoring others in languages as it is one of my key talents to explain difficulties to people in a thorough manner. I have traveled overseas to teach students at different levels and ages. I also taught as an online teacher for several years and I obtained several certificates throughout my years of teaching.

As I choose to offer conversational German, we would talk about a chosen subject and I would correct your accent, grammar and tell you what vocabulary would be most common, so our common goal would be to get you to a level where you feel "at home" in the German language. If you need explanation in English I am absolutely happy to provide it. If you need to prepare for a business meeting or for your studies we can also work specifically on your needs.

Learning languages should be fun and for me the best way to improve is to have a real life conversation about topics you like. I believe in positive encouragement rather than strict learning methods! If you enjoy doing something, the result will be good. As a teacher, I take the time to listen to you and to help you with new words. I am calm, patient and very friendly. I try to make the talking as real and relevant as possible.

I like to build long-term relations with my students (some students stay with me for years, which I consider to be the best proof of their satisfaction). However, I also prepare for language exams (which is usually unfortunately shorter cooperation yet also a fruitful one). I also teach kids (I have the most experience with 10+).

I have lots of experience in teaching all ages. I am very patient and friendly and want my student to feel comfortable and enjoy the time with me. A lesson without laughing is a failed lesson. Since I studied linguistics I understand and can teach grammar very well. Ich habe viel Erfahrung Menschen jeglichen Alters zu unterrichten und bin sehr geduldig und freundlich. Mir ist es sehr wichtig, dass sich mein Schüler wohl fühlt und wir beim Lernen Spaß haben! Durch meine Bildung bin ich in der Lage die deutsche und englische Grammatik zu unterrichten.

It is important for me to create a relaxed supportive environment in my classes while also making sure you learn something new each time. As you notice yourself progressing with each week, language learning will become a lot of fun, I promise. We will discuss articles and topics that will not only help you expand your vocabulary but that are also interesting and fun for you personally.

I studied German in university so I know what it like to learn the language. We can discuss any issues you have with the language and work together to find a solution. Especially if it is regarding grammar.

I provide the right methods to make you more proficient. You need to pass a language test? I offer a customized test preparation! You must work in a german speaking working environment? I instruct you how to talk und to behave.

Heads up – I am a strict teacher! No slagging, no "I-can't's". Everyone can learn a language. I work with students who are motivated, who know why they learn and who really want to see results. This means intense practice during classes and homework. If you don't have time for homework, please let me know and we will find a solution together. >> For General lessons I normally use a textbook (or several textbooks) as the basis. We work with GoogleDocs, recordings, YouTube videos and other materials as necessary. >> Conversational Classes are free flow. >> During Interpreting/Translation classes we learn to make glossaries and work with videos, recordings, texts and speeches.

Since the beginning of 2020 I teach students German (A1 - B2), help them with spoken language and preparing for exam. I see students as friends because I think it's easier for them to talk informally. But I will also correct you as a teacher and help you getting better.

Ich habe einen Strukturierten Lehrplan und achte darauf, dass meine Schüler trotzdem Spaß am Unterricht haben. Außerdem spreche ich unter anderem gern über Gott und die Bibel :)

I am a very committed and serious person. AND while being committed to me it is essential to have FUN! :-) Because when I enjoy what I do I can spend even more energy on it and keep my levels high. My goal is to break the ice and try to get you comfortable speaking german. Mistakes are welcome ! It is not about how perfect somebody can speak a language, the goal is to be able to communicate with people. I want to find out which topics are interessting and fun for you, as I believe that you only stick with learning a langauge if you are having fun learning it.
