I have been practicing as French tutor for two years. For beginners, I do my classes in English and French, for better understanding. Once you are confident with the language, we can switch to French only for faster progress. In addition, I also offer conversation classes, generic or on your chosen theme.

For 5 years, i have been teaching French to people from different levels, backrounds and ages. You will not only learn French and become fluent, with my lessons, but you will also love the process of it!

As a language learner I learned more than 15 languages on italki, but I'm maintaining only 9 and learning my 10th (Chinese...). So I kind of know what are the mistake you should avoid as a beginner and give you some great tricks if you are already an advance student. As a teacher, my real job is a piano teacher, so teaching is my passion and this is what I was trained for!

As a teacher, I teach in the same way I would like to be taught when learning. I rely mostly on my own experience in learning new languages. I have different levels in the different languages I speak, which makes it easier for me to adapt the lessons to the level of the student since I know how it is to be at their stage of learning. I am patient and don't mind repeating a same things as many times as necessary for it to be understood. I believe that the most efficient way of learning is by practicing as much as possible without being afraid of making mistakes, because it is through them that we learn.

En effet ayant moi-même emprunté ce processus intimidant où l'on découvre ou approfondit une langue étrangère, je capable de COMPRENDRE les difficultés (prononciation, blocage à l'expression) rencontrées par l'apprenti et de le guider au mieux (écoute, analyse, ajustement).

I always push my students to talk as much as possible because practice is the best way to improve your language skills! I incentivise them talking about topic they are passionate about. I help my students improving their vocabulary, their grammar, their pronunciation. I want them to feel comfortable having a day-to-day conversation in french. As a teacher, it is very important for me to make sure my students take pleasure in learning a language and don't feel stressed or bored, and make progress at the same time. I am a primary school teacher (first grade) so I am used to teaching French and reflecting on the language. This has allowed me to take a step back from my mother tongue and to understand the ins and outs of it. Speaking is in my opinion the most important element of a language because it is what we will use to communicate and what we all (in general) spend more time getting comfortable with. Through role-playing, role-playing situations, discussions about a specific topic or current events, I like to bring in points of grammar and understanding of the language. Writing also plays an important role in my teaching and is always put in parallel with speaking.

Usually at the very beginning I will assess your language level, to make sure that the materials we’re going to be using during the course can actually be suitable and useful for your needs. I’m very patient and always try to create an enjoyable lesson.

I am a native Arabic(different type) and French speaker i teach different languages as volunteer most of the time. I have experience in teaching different kind of classes from languages maths, computer science... until scuba diving. the pleasure of teaching for me is when i see the progress of my student from nothing to where they like to get.
