After French I will keep learning some other languages to be able to help even more students around the world. I found my passion for teaching while in college when I quit my part-time job at a restaurant bussing tables. I followed the advice of a friend, who was a tutor, and started tutoring students for some extra cash. I tutored students in my major, which was Spanish, and eventually began helping English Language learners, as well. I found it to be such a rewarding experience; I loved it! I have worked with native speakers of Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Arabic and I have found that everyone has a unique perspective. I am a patient but energetic teacher. I only correct my students when necessary, prioritizing student talk time and letting conversations flow. Instead of focusing on explaining the rules of the English language, I prefer to repeat the erroneous sentences that my students say in class in the right manner, making it a point to have them repeat it in the same way. The same goes for pronunciation errors. Repetition is key.
