About 7 years ago I became an English teacher, which gave me skills to teach Croatian language as well. I have become very proficient in teaching through Skype, which is my favorite way to teach. My students are all types of people and age groups. Teaching is my passion in life and I especially enjoy learning about other cultures while I do it. In our lessons we can use different tools for any request, including GRAMMAR books, for BOTH languages. By creating fun and relaxed lessons, we can cover any aspect of the language you wish to focus on.

I think my best quality as a teacher is empathy, as I understand the student's point of view very well and it is easy for me to put myself in their shoes. It is important to me that everyone has a good time while learning and I always try to bring a positive attitude into the classroom, be it face-to-face or virtual.

Currently, I use Google Classroom to track students progress and assign some HM, quizzes for fun, Music and Video including some flashcards. The goal is for student to know their progress and hold their dream of speaking Thai accountably. I love teaching based on the skills students have achieved so far. Understanding Thai voice tones is very important to me because lack of the fundamental voice tone can cause a different meaning in Thai words. I will pay a lot attention on my students but believe me, I have a trick on practicing that. I am very punctual and friendly.

Many of my former students say that I'm patient, dedicated and that I maximize class hours to learning and acquiring English. These traits, I believe, are results of trying to understand my students better. In and out of class hours, I do my best to assess students' needs as learners, and as people who wish to be able to communicate. During class hours I make sure that learning objectives are met and students USE THE LANGUAGE A LOT. As a learner of a language and as a teacher of English, I understand some of the struggles and successes of learning a new language. I think speaking is an important part of learning a new language so I’m excited to speak with you! Seeing my students improve and be able to communicate in a new language is exciting for me and for them. I have a Bachelor's degree majoring in Linguistics and German and I'm also a CELTA (Cambridge English Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualified teacher. I am a CELTA certified teacher with three years experience teaching English as a foreign language, I enjoy teaching all aspect of English but I especially like to teach pronunciation. I like to receive feed back from the students to let me know how effective my lessons are for them, or if they are confused. I am very patient with my students and let them work at their won pace.

I’ve been teaching English online for three years. I have taught kids and adults, all around the world. I have taught all levels from beginners to advanced. When I first started teaching online I mostly taught Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese students. It was an office based job, so before I could teach, I had to attend a six day training camp and I had to complete a 120 hour TEFL certificate. I then quit the job and started teaching English online from the comfort of my home. I now teach people all around the world.

Although I've been using three languages since I was a kid, I didn't realize how difficult it is to learn a language until I decided to start learning Spanish as an adult. Learning a language as an adult made me a better teacher, someone who can truly understand my students' challenges and frustrations. I'm always learning new ways to teach, tweaking my strategies to best meet the unique needs of each learner. I understand language acquisition is a life-long process, and I always make sure to make each lesson count.

I love to travel. I have traveled to Germany, China, Hungary, Turkey, Ireland, Puerto Rice, and the eastern half of the USA so far. One of my favorite travel memories is playing soccer with Turkish children. I'm currently fixing a travel trailer so I can explore more of America and Canada. I have "grandma" hobbies such as reading, writing, baking, and knitting. I also have outdoorsy hobbies like hiking, kayaking, and volunteering on a horse farm. I'm a bit of a nerd, so I enjoy talking about things like Harry Potter. What things do we have in common? Let's talk about it! I show students a new thing in English every week. These things range from a good song to a comic I enjoy.
