I’ve been teaching foreign languages for a couple of years now and I have developed as a teacher in both understanding the needs of my students and attuning the teaching materials (of which I have a vast supply) to meet their needs in an engaging and bespoke fashion.

I did my BA in history and political science and I received 2 teaching certificates (Oxford Seminars TESL and Cambridge's CELTA). I first had experience teaching young children in Hong Kong when I was 20 years old. It was an amazing opportunity to learn and travel, though I wasn't quite ready to devote myself to teaching full time. I finished my degree at McMaster university and worked random jobs before becoming a certified teacher in Montreal. I taught in 2 language schools. I started teaching online because my partner and I decided to move to France for a couple of years. Since then I've been working with italki and I absolutely love it.

My favourite part of teaching is getting to know my students are learning about their cultures. I am also happy when I see my students having fun while learning. My English accent is neutral and very easy to understand. I have completed a Level 7 Diploma in TESOL, which expanded my knowledge of teaching and improved my teaching techniques.
