I am a native Dutch speaker from Belgium, a multilingual country. At university I learned Turkish and I understand the problems you encounter when learning a new language. I look forward to helping you improve your Dutch and English.

I've got years of experience on iTalki teaching online. I'm also an interpreter and work well with other languages. I've worked with children and adults, but these days I mostly work with adults. I have experience with Dutch immigration exams.

When my children began going to school, I started looking for a job that gave me flexibility and put me in contact with people. Knowing various languages, teaching these seemded like a good solution. And I noticed that I was quite good at it and enjoyed it a lot. Wherever we were (USA, German, Italy, Solvakia), it was not too difficult to find students.

As a teacher I would describe myself as informal, friendly and patient. I have experience being a teacher with a Bachelor in social educational care. I will correct you where necessary while allowing you to make mistakes along the way as this is part of learning a new language. It's my goal to be of help and see my students improve. Right now i'm learning the Thai language so I am familiar with the challenge of learning a unfamiliar language :)

I started teaching in 2009, when I began tutoring Dutch teenagers who needed some help with their Dutch, English, German or French lessons. In 2017, I decided it was time to broaden my horizons and start working for Italki as a community tutor. Now that I've acquired my TEFL Certificate as well as a Master's Degree in Child and Education Studies, I feel ready to offer you even better services! Aside from teaching on Italki, I also have experience as a classroom teacher at an international school. I believe that learning should be fun and motivating, so I will do my best to make sure my classes are fun and engaging!

Daarnaast ben ik ook rondleider in een medisch-historisch museum en heb ik ervaring met het overdragen van kennis. Bovendien geef ik ook colleges aan ouderen in verzorgingstehuizen en bibliotheken, dus ik vind het geweldig om te praten en in discussie te treden met anderen. Ik kan je daarom ook op verschillende manieren helpen met het verbeteren van je Nederlandse taal. Ik heb ervaring met zowel beginners als gevorderden en ik heb eigen ontworpen lesmateriaal beschikbaar om samen door te nemen. In het bijzonder heb ik ervaring met medische consultvoering in het Nederlands. Vanuit mijn opleiding geneeskunde heb ik meerdere patiëntgesprekken gevoerd en communicatielessen gehad.

From an early age, I came in contact with various cultures during travelling and having multicultural friends. There I noticed how I love to be in contact with others and how much energy I gained with this. Together with exploring each other potential is one of my favourite things to do. I like to work constructively and I believe that conversations in other languages flow naturally when your convo partner makes you feel at ease. Your learning process is central here! Therefore I don't blame you if you would only want one class if there is no connection between us. Our class would be like drinking coffee together ;).

The most important things to know about me as a teacher are that I'm really patient and have a high infectious enthusiasm. For you, this means you won't have to be afraid of making mistakes or think the lessons will be boring. I'll make sure it will be fun! Like the great Bob Ross used to say: We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents.

I am patient, helpful and genuinely interested in other humans beings. I focus on the topics my students find most difficult to grasp and I will create new exercises or look for new online content based on the areas of improvement of my students.

As a teacher I like to give 110% in every lesson, because it is important to me that my students feel like they advance in their path to fluency with every class. I want them to be proud of their efforts. I tailor the lessons to my student's personality and interests, wich is possible because it is one-on-one. I put quality before quantity. I like to exchange ideas and experiences with my students, because we learn by telling stories, more than any other way.

Patience and a positive learning environment are key. - First we will assess your level and afterwards I will set-up a specific programme in order to improve your language skills. - We ll create a positive working environment where you'll feel comfortable to learn and, with a good base of patience, repetition, exercises and interaction, I am sure that we will your improve your language skills.

In beginner classes we will focus on learning new vocabulary, pronunciation, common verbs, dialogues, exercises, survival Dutch (public transport, eating out, directions, etc.) and basic conversation skills. For intermediate and advanced students we can focus on topical conversation and writing practice. Perfect to expand active vocabulary, improve accuracy and grammar! I believe that language learning should be an enjoyable and motivating experience, let’s get started :)

I'd love to teach people a new skill. In this case: DUTCH.. Having a conversational lesson in Dutch, grammar or helping you prepare an exam, it's all possible. I am very easy going, and available after office hours or on the weekends. You can choose what we will chat about, and I will not 'kill' a conversation by correcting you every word. We will chat, and after a while I will see where we can improve your skills here and there. I am very patient, especially since I learned Spanish without classes, simply by talking to my friends, I understand how important it is to not feel pressured while practicing your language. Plus, you always know more then you think!

As a teacher with more than 12 years of experience, I focus on making it easy and fun for students to understand the Dutch language. I have been working with students from a different ethnic background and with different levels which is no problem at all. So it's my job to teach without stressing students out if they are not able to keep up. Study at their own pace, having the opportunity to ask as many questions as they like and getting challenged to speak as much as they can, is what i believe, is the best way to learn a language.

My students profile me as a friendly, knowledgeable, patient full, teacher. I am teaching Dutch & English for over ten years. Dutch is my native language. I do have an excellent knowledge of the English language(C2 Level), as I grew up in a multicultural environment, which enabled me to inprove my language skills almost unconsciously in an effective way. I am currently based in the Far East where i am working as a professional teacher. The most satisfying part about my job is seeing the progress in my students language skills.

I'm a very hands-on teacher. Learning languages with me means that we will cover the basic grammar and vocabulary that we need, but quickly switch to have conversations in the language you want to learn. We'll go over why you want to learn the language, and set weekly and monthly goals to achieve it! Learning a language can be a little difficult and dreadful, and that's why I love to combine learning the languages, with subjects and things you like! We'll talk about anything that makes you comfortable and happy to talk about, and won't have boring conversations that you wouldn't have in your own language anyway.

Ik ben geboren in voormalig Joegoslavië maar van af jongs af aan opgeroeid en groot geworden in Nederland Rotterdam. Ik ben eigenlijk tweetalig maar heb me educatie in Nederland gedaan en het grootste gedeelte van mijn sociale leven heb ik voornamelijk met het Nederlandse taal gecommuniceerd. Hierdoor is mijn Nederlands eigenlijk meer mijn moedertaal dan elk ander taal. Ik heb les geven meer in sport en recreatie en daar heb ik geleerd hoe je op verschillende manieren en ook leuke manieren iemand iets kan leren. Hier heb ik een hoop mensenkennis opgebouwd en benader ik ieder persoon als individu om op een leuke manier iets te leren
