I am now a full time language teacher. I have 7 years teaching experience on Cantonese and I have taught Mandarin in Hong Kong's primary In A-level examination, I got B grade in Chinese which was conducted in Cantonese. My major is Mandarin when I studied Postgraduate Diploma in Education Programmes in Hong Kong Institute of Education. Therefore, I can teach both Cantonese and Mandarin. I understand the struggle of mastering Cantonese in Western society as English is my strongest language. This gives me a unique perspective as a teacher and translator. I’ve provided lesson formats that reflect what has helped me preserve Cantonese in Canada. As an active learner of several languages, I can understand many of the challenges that my students face. My goal is to provide a teaching environment where my students feel they can express as freely as they want, and are not afraid to make mistakes. It is also my opinion that learning, like many things in life, is more about the process than the destination, so keeping students engaged and interested is what I aim for in every lesson. I believe that understanding the culture is essential to learning any language. That's why in my lessons, I will try to introduce my students to some cultural background, drawing from my own personal experiences wherever I can.

I’ve been teaching Mandarin since 2016 both online and offline. Also, I have worked for years not just as an examiner running mock tests for students but also as the leading invigilator in a Chinese proficiency Exam Centre in Greece. Specifically, it’s the only exam centre offering computer delivered tests in Greece. So, I know very well about a variety of Chinese tests, such as HSK, HSKK, YCT and BCT, and have very rich experience in preparing students for different levels of these tests and helping them achieve what they want.
