Hi everyone! My name is Fatima. I live in Birmingham, UK. I am a TEFL certified English teacher. I worked at a local travel agency for 3 years before venturing into this field of work. My job was mainly to keep a record of our profit and loss account. Now I mostly work as a private English tutor online. I love to travel. It is my favourite thing to do when we are not in a pandemic. I also enjoy cooking and baking. The pandemic has allowed me to do a lot of that this past year.

I am extremely patient with students in my class. This is not a place of judgment; it is a space where we learn and grow. Along the way, we also make many mistakes :) My simple goal is to support you on this crazy rollercoaster that we call language learning.

내 강의 및 지도 스타일

In classes with me, you can expect a wide variety of different activities. I will especially focus on areas of the language that you repeatedly struggle with. A lot of what we do will depend on what your individual goals and needs are. I offer structured and unstructured classes but I recommend that you challenge yourself by mixing it all up. We will use: videos, social media, news articles, films, journals, blogs and books. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. See you in class!

Teaching English as a Foreign Language - The TEFL Academy - 2021I completed 20 out of the 120 hours required in a physical classroom. The other 100 hours were completed remotely. We were assigned a tutor who would correct each assignment and give us feedback. My tutor critiqued and graded my work. The course taught me how to plan lessons. It taught me grammar and some of the common grammatical mistakes that new learners make. I practiced what I had learned by teaching online. This is what motivated me to get my master's in ESL.
