My native language is Japanese. I speak the standard Japanese; however, my accent will be a little softer and gentle due to my specialty as a veterinary clinician. My personality will be described as easygoing and open-minded. I love to try new things and to be optimistic. My favorite activities are cooking and baking, learning languages and different perspective from different people, camping and helping people and animals. The southern California is my home now. In my childhood, I spent time listening to stories in different countries from father who worked abroad. This family trait brings me here on italki! Our World is Vast.

I have now hundreds hours of Japanese tutoring experience from beginner to advanced Japanese learners; five years of tutoring experience in scientific subjects. My professional backgrounds are in medical fields such as clinical veterinary medicine and human medical researches. With my experience, I may support to improve your clinical and caretaking communication skills for clients as well as coworkers. I love to help people learning Japanese language, who are particularly interested in, since I realized that Japanese is an interesting language and more simulative to people's minds after I studied some Latin based languages. My general language sessions have a full of fun and laugh.

Most Suitable Applicants for my sessions would be; 1. Learners who have difficult time to mastering Japanese letters and Kanji 2. Learners in human/veterinary medical, caretaking and researching fields who want to expand your business partner or clients in your country 3. Learners who want to visit or live in Japan My teaching style is a learner-centered style which means request-based teaching. First, we discuss your needs, then I may give you my suggestions according to your purposes and goals. When we agree with the style and methods, we will proceed the lessons. We can discuss and alter the plan whenever necessary. (Lesson fee of the regional adjustment in some areas may be considered.)

Chi-sensei is incredible, amazing, and simply charming. She puts a lot of effort into her materials and she is so good at teaching areas that I struggle in. Once we figure out what to work on, it’s smooth sailing — we learn a lot.

I had my first lesson today with ちぃ先生 and it was great! I used to live in Japan and I recently haven't been able to practice with anyone. She is a great teacher. I felt very comfortable with her and I highly recommend her. I am looking forward to continuing my lessons!
