22, from the United States; I currently am residing in Strasbourg, France. I obtained my double degree in German and French studies with a minor in Portuguese and Brazilian studies in May 2019. An interesting fact about me is that I grew up in a multilingual home (German, Polish, English). I currently work at a language school in Strasbourg, France where I teach primarily teach English, German, French, and Spanish to professionals. I additionally plan to continue studying translation and interpretation at the Master's level in order to stay and work at an accredited European institution in the future such as the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

I have tutored for two years at the College of Charleston in German, French and Portuguese, as well as taught the beginning conversation courses for Portuguese students. During these positions, I worked a lot with textbooks and lesson plans, but I normally will adapt the students wants and needs to make sure they feel at ease and comfortable in order to learn the best they possibly can. As stated, my current work is with professionals, but I have experience with various profiles and am trained to work with students of various cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and ages. In addition, I can proficiently explain grammar in Spanish, Italian, Polish, and Dutch apart from my C2 languages.

내 강의 및 지도 스타일

I enjoy to emphasize the spoken language and show my students the building blocks of each language before diving into grammar exercises and difficult reading comprehension. I often review with my students in their native language grammatical terms, for example, what is a verb, adverb., so that they are sure to comprehend these terms correctly in their native language before discussing them in a foreign one. Afterwords, my lessons are mainly focused on what the student would like to review, but I have been trained in speaking, reading, writing, and listening comprehension in case the student is looking for a more traditional approach. In the end, I will adapt to their specific needs.
