지도 경험
I instruct students on how to construct grammatically correct sentences, proper pronunciation, pitch accent, and also improve student’s vocabulary. I welcome students of all levels. For our lessons, we can use a book called Genki, but if you don’t have one, it’s totally no problem. I like playing guitar, which means we can talk about music as well as many other topics.

Fantastic instructor. Great at leading a natural conversation at the student's level (after quickly assessing what that level is). But where Hiro truly stands out is in his ability to articulate the "why" of a Japanese grammar point/idiom/etc in English. For me, being able to ask "why" is an important part of my learning process, and so Hiro's ability to answer my questions in a natural and approachable way is truly invaluable to my progress.

Hiro is a wonderful Japanese teacher, and I am very satisfied with my progress under his guidance. The proof? Today was our 20th lesson -- and I am ready for 20 more =)
Here are some reasons to give Hiro a chance:
1. Hiro is a native Japanese speaker, which ensures you learn natural phrasing and pronunciation.
2. Hiro has an excellent command of English, a result of having lived in Canada after completing his University degree.
3. Hiro knows Japanese can be tough; as such, he is patient, kind, and encouraging during lessons.
Finally, don't be shy. I had no previous experience with the Japanese language when I started lessons with Hiro.
Good luck!

Wow, 90 hours of studying Japanese together! When I first started working with Hiro, I had absolutely no previous experience with the Japanese language. This last December, I passed the JLPT N5. I really owe Hiro a huge debt of gratitude, for being such a kind, patient and knowledgable teacher. Here's to 90 more lessons!
