Although I'm not a professional teacher/linguist I have lots of experiences in teaching Japanese on italki. As a language learner I understand the importance of choosing a right teacher and I hope I'm the one for you!

Although I have never formally trained in teaching language, I have voluntarily taught Japanese for many years. I’ve attended to language exchange lessons in Toronto and New York and taught Japanese to people from all over the world (e.g. American, Canadian, Russian, Polish, German, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc.) from very beginners to fluent people. I made close friends who learn Japanese and we always asked and taught each other when I was studying English. One of my best friends is an American and he still asks me about the Japanese language even after he moved to Japan.

I have studied counseling and coaching because I have studied psychology. I respect the students studying Japanese. Studying a foreign language is very difficult. Since I am studying English, I really understand the feelings of people studying foreign languages. It's easy to forget the language when you stop studying it, but don't give up and continue. I finished the 420hours of Japanese Teachers' Training Course in 2018. I was teaching Japanese at a Thai school from 2018 to 2020. 日本語教師の資格を取得しています。 タイの中高一貫校で日本語を教えていました。

My major at university was language education and Japanese linguistics, and learned to be a Japanese teacher. When I was a student, I tutored international students, and joined the Japanese teaching training program in Australia and taught Japanese at local school. After graduation, I moved to Singapore and had worked as a Japanese teacher for about 7 years until March 2020. I have taught Japanese from Basic to Advanced, N5 to N1 level there. I only used Japanese when I taught at school, but I taught Japanese in English for on-site training of other Japanese companies in Singapore and private lessons.

I am a native Japanese speaker and have completed Japanese Language Teacher Training Course. I’m qualified and reliable teacher. I have had a variety of teaching experiences, such as private lessons, classroom and online.

I am enthusiastic and love motivating my students! My lessons will be mostly conversational based. If you have specific topic to talk about, please let me know. You are in a judgement free zone where you can give it your best shot and I am here to help you out. I will decide your lesson plan depends on your goal. If you want to practice "Conversation skill", we can talk in all Japanese. If you want to learn Japanese with your Japanese textbook such as "GENKI", I will teach according to the textbook. (I have GENKI 1,2). I will give you feedback after each lesson. If you want to improve your J From my learning languages experience, I realized when you learn new language, the most important things is not only grammar or vocabularies but also confidence and courage to speak out the language that you learn. Therefore, I would like to let you speak Japanese as much as you can during my lessons:) I prefer to having relaxed lessons!

I have experience teaching Japanese from primary school to high school age students. I am really patient and cheerful teacher. I really enjoy teaching Japanese language and Japanese culture. I especially focus on improving your speaking skills. So we can do lots of conversation practice in my lesson. I also can check your pronunciation and sentence construction.
