Cristian was very well prepared and enthusiastic about this lesson. He took great care to keep the conversation natural while assessing my level of Spanish. Plus, he woke up very early in morning to have a lesson with me, which I appreciate a lot!

Today was our first hour-long lesson, and it went well. Cristian Ballinas enthusiastically guided me through "pedir y dar información personal en español," which means "give and ask for personal information." The lesson began with a warm-up (name, residence, profession, age, nationality, and telephone) followed by a fill-in-the-gap activity. The lesson concluded with a listening and reading comprehension exercise in which I had to focus my attention selectively on gathering key pieces of information from multiple native speakers. Cristian intuitively knew that this activity would help me extend my level of communicative competence. One of the things I like so far about Cristian is his willingness to let me listen and imitate the way he uses Spanish. I also appreciate Cristian’s patience and tactfully honest corrective feedback on my pronunciation errors. I look forward to our next lesson. Cuídate!
