I am a cheerful person and I try to give joy to my students. I think that learning without realising it is the best way to reach a goal. I know that every single student takes their own time to learn. I am very patient and I always wait for an answer. I think that silence is very important too and is not good to force a student to speak when he or she is not completely self-confident. This means that I might sound a bit direct sometimes, but when I tell you "your Italian has really improved! You could even have a job interview now!", well, I really mean it. Insegno italiano agli stranieri da circa due anni e l’ho sempre insegnato in contesti multiculturali a persone provenienti da qualsiasi parte del mondo. La mia passione sono le lingue, ma mi piace parlare anche di storia, geografia, arte, musica e cinema. Se avete argomenti particolari come quelli appena citati possiamo parlarne insieme durante la lezione, possiamo fare conversazione. Since 2 years I have been teaching Italian in cross-cultural contexts, to people coming from all over the world. Languages are my passion. I like also history, geography, art, music and movies as well. If you share the same passions, we can talk about them during our lessons.

As a teacher I try to understand personal needs of every single student. I like to use interactive materials and bring fun to the lesson. Very important to me is also to dissolve the initial fear of speaking of students and I encourage them to speak from the very beginning. I have teaching experience with kids, teenagers and adults. First of all, I would say that I am very "kind" and flexible. I really care about my students and about their progress in learning. I am open to any kind of feedback and any kind of requests in order to make our lessons "better". Learning a new language is always an exciting journey, but also quite scary: you start exploring a new context and a new culture opens before your eyes; on the other hand, especially at the beginning, people get frustrated, because they feel that they are not getting any better, so they stop enjoying the process of learning. As far as I can, my goal is to speak just in Italian, from the first lesson. I want Italian to become our medium, forgetting English or Persian. I truly love teaching and find it so exciting to watch my students make progress. I am very versatile and I have experience teaching students ages 3 to 80! I started tutoring college level students while I was in grad school and have continued to teach adults. I know what it's like to be a beginner student so I am extremely patient and I like to keep things fun and lighthearted!

I used to tutor children and teenagers in their school years helping them with subjects such as Italian grammar and literature. I am actually pretty much into classical literature. I also helped many adults learning Italian, especially my fellow East European and Arab immigrants. Since I've been on italki I've realized how much I missed doing this, and how much I love it! I still do not have any particular qualitication as a teacher (but it's actually in my plans) so I don't have the pretension to teach to an academic level. However, I do have a lot of experience, both live and online, and I do speak both languages on a native level, using them everyday in school, work and personal life.
