I love teaching German as a foreign language from B1 to C2. My lessons for adults are tailor made for motivated students. I am a successful German lecturer since 30 years. Qualified also as a sales and quality manager I would like to help you to achieve your goals with practice, fun and success. Of course, I correct my students' homework and essays between classes. I have 5 years of experience in teaching from beginners to advanced learners. First I was a classroom teacher in a primary school, but later I found that teaching one-on-one is both, more efficient for students and more interesting for the teacher. I am patient, friendly and reliable. You can book an informal tutoring lesson so I can get to know you better and understand what your strengths and weaknesses are, so I can make a personalized plan for you which fits your needs.

In my opinion the best way to learn a language is through speaking it. To improve your German I would let you talk all the time and note feedback in the meantime. If you have some specific wishes I can prepare a more structured session with a specific goal in mind. I'm able to talk about any topic. Should be easy to find a topic that interests you. I'm flexible, i.e. besides language teaching I can work with you on goals you are aiming towards. To name few: preparation for a job interview, negotiations or scenarios in business context.

Als community teacher möchte ich vor allem das Anwenden der Sprache üben. Ich möchte euch helfen, mehr Sicherheit beim Sprechen zu erlangen und eure sprachlichen Fähigkeiten sowie Kenntnisse zu verbessern. Das Ziel meiner Unterrichtsstunden ist, dass ihr mit Spaß eine neue Sprache erlernt und bereits vorhandenes Wissen vertieft.

I tutor every student individually according to their goals and priorities. Whether you need to improve your writing, reading or communication skills we can tailor a strategy to reach your goals in the most effective way. Besides talking in German, I love to meet new people, learn about different lifestyles and cultures, travel, read, and most of all challenge me everyday.

I see myself as a practical learner therefore my preferred approach is to learn by practice! In schools and language courses, languages often get analyzed rather than practiced which is why so many people make no progress after "studying a language" for months. Learning a language is like painting in the sense that you don't need to know the atomic structure of colors to be able to paint a nice picture. In this same way you don't need to know all the rules and technical terms to successfully use a language. In my lessons you will actively practice speaking German without worrying to much about the mistakes which will ultimately make it more fun and enjoyable for you.

I really like teaching, I've been doing it for 16 years. I'm fluent in Spanish and German as a mother language. I focus a lot on grammar and writing, but I also offer conversation classes. I guarantee you some didactic classes, in which you will learn a lot. I can improve your writing skills in Spanish. Together we can do perfect essays or what you need. If you have a job interview in Spanish or German, I can also help you practising in the language you need. I have a degree in Human Resources, so I know the skills you need for an interview. As a teacher, I am very patient and easy going. I prepare my classes so that you get the most out of the lesson. I offer conversation practice and vocabulary building in a relaxed environment while focusing on the grammar that you need to speak confidently. I'll correct your mistakes and teach you useful expressions and phrases. In the first class we will set your goals and estimate your level of German or English so that we can chart a course to work together.

Most important is to connect with my students,because only when we connect we can learn. My role is being a coach and an instructor,supporting the student on his journey into the new language.

I am a native German and English speaker and have professional experience teaching German to native English speakers, and teaching English to non-natives. Additionally, I have a bachelor's in language (Arabic) and though it is not the language I am teaching, this highly rigorous background in translation will be of benefit to both beginner's and advanced students. As a forever-learner of languages, I have the deepest respect for you and see us as equals. Right now I am learning AND teaching because there is always more to know :) Most likely, besides having a student-teacher relationship, we will become friends, the more time we spend together. I come from a family of teachers. I had several opportunities to teach English to primary school classes. In my time as an Au pair in the USA, I also had my host kids as my first German students.

I have lots of fun discussing and explaining German words, phrases and sentence structure. I have been supporting language learners on Italki since January 2019. In the past I have lived in many countries. Whenever I am back home in Germany I go back to driving an abulance. My students appreaciate my slow and clear speech. I am very patient - I dont mind repeating myself over and over again :) Repetition is essential. I encourage students to make mistakes as they catalyse the learning process.

I've been described as a chill, friendly and very supportive teacher by my students. I'm flexible and creative, and always try to find ways to make learning German fun and more effective for my students. After all, everyone is different in how they learn something best. As mentioned, I have taught German to elementary school kids and middle aged people. I have tutored native German speakers (in honing their writing skills) and foreigners learning German as secondary language since 2019.
