I have a Masters Degree from Spring Arbor University in Spiritual Formation and Leadership. I've started to teach Turkish when I was a student in Istanbul and quite enjoy it since then and worked in American Culture Language School as an English/Russian tutor.

We will also check right from the start that the speed of conversation suits your preferences. I am happy to work with students on all levels and I will customise my lessons according to your needs. You are of course welcome to provide your material as well. I graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages – English and Spanish, and I also have a master's degree in Spanish. I’m a native Romanian speaker, with a standard accent, without any regional influences. I've been teaching English for 4 years now, to children in nursery schools.

In our class, YOU will be doing most of the speaking! I provide delayed corrections as well as written feedback and explanations for you to keep and study. I am extremely patient and do my best to create a positive learning environment where we learn from our mistakes. We can discuss a variety of topics, news articles, or practice role-playing and interview scenarios.

I have been teaching English for 26 years and I have a Certificate in TEFLA (CELTA), an Advanced Certificate in TESOL and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. I was the editor of a Teacher Education journal in Japan for eight years and I taught at universities there for 15 years. I have been teaching pre-sessional courses at the University of Glasgow since 2015 so I have a lot of experience in preparing students for the cultural and academic expectations in an English-speaking university setting. The goal of the pre-sessional courses is for the students to attain an IELTS-equivalent score of 6.5 or 7. In addition, I have been teaching scuba diving and first aid since 2002.

I love teaching. I also love meeting people. I am patient and friendly. My enjoyment comes from students putting the effort, and despite the trials and challenges, making progress, one step at a time. So that they can achieve their dreams in language learning, whether that is for business or travel, I provide my own materials but students are free to suggest and send me their own materials ahead of lessons.
