It's a real story of "from passion to profit" :D I've started as a mentor to foreign students at my university and turned out to be a full-time English instructor at world renown YMCA college in Japan. 7 years ago I didn't want to be a teacher, my dad was already the 4th generation of teachers in my family and it seemed too boring! Then I did the CELTA course in Chiang-Mai and was hooked. I LOVE my job, there is nothing more exciting than helping my students to reach the 'ahaa!' moment where they respond in English without translating. I love the variety of jobs they have and problem solving together, for example: - Prepping for a secret Netflix pitch - Writing descriptions of their artwork - Preparing for a webinar with the Economist (involved stalking on youtube) - Analysing the accents of different clients to better understand them
