I have worked as a tutor, tutoring grade 10 to 12 History learners and I have also worked as a Teacher Assistant (TA) at Mvula Primary School. Both roles have equipped me with an understanding of how to identify the learner's needs and how to make learning fun in order to cater for different learner needs. I have decided to work as a community tutor at iTalki because it will help me grow not only as an individual but also as a professional in the field of education, as a student teacher. My lessons incorporate of various teaching methods from engaging in conversations, reading articles and practicing / polishing writing skills, completing test templates and quizzes, and making use of visual aids to explain concepts.
