I graduated with a first class degree in English Literature from Manchester Metropolitan University and I am a qualified English teacher with a CELTA (Cambridge English Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
I have two year’s experience teaching students from pre-A1 to advanced, including young children, teenagers, adults and seniors. My youngest student is four and my oldest was seventy eight!
I have taught English online for the University of East London; at an international school in the UK; and in Calabria, Italy. I also studied for a year in Graz, Austria. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I am a calm and engaged teacher, and I plan my lessons according to your interests and goals. I can help build your vocabulary and improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and listening skills to ensure that lessons are productive for you.
In addition, we can work together on your writing skills – academic or informal – and I will correct any written work you submit to me. I will also introduce natural expressions into our classes to develop your conversational fluency and confidence in speaking.

CELTA - Cambridge - 2019I gained the Cambridge CELTA after completing the full-time, four week course. I learnt various skills including classroom methodology and how to effectively plan lessons. Furthermore, I received guidance on mistake correction, pronunciation drilling and how to teach young learners. I had eight, formal lesson observations and received feedback on all my teaching.
I also worked with and interviewed one Japanese student and learnt about common mistakes and difficulties for Japanese learners.

Laurea triennale - English LiteratureI took a wide variety of different modules throughout my time at university, including fin-de-siecle writing, critical dialogues and discourse, American literature 1945 - present, approaches to trauma and drama.
In my second year I participated in an Erasmus year at Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria, where I took journalism and creative writing classes, a survey of detective fiction, an African American poetry seminar and an introduction to contemporary art.

Teacher of EnglishAt this international summer school, I taught elementary, intermediate and advanced English to multi-lingual learners of various ages and nationalities, with an emphasis of Middle Eastern students.
Additionally, I designed lessons, adapted coursebooks and created original materials to suit the needs of my learners, ensuring an interactive, student-focused approach. I also delivered fortnightly student tests and wrote comprehensive leavers’ reports.
2019 - 2020
Teacher of EnglishI prepared and delivered lessons for various levels across the CEFR, to groups and one-to-one, including catch-up lessons when required. Following the Covid-19 outbreak, I transitioned to teach all my classes online. I worked extensively with young learners and teenagers in particular, from pre-A1 to advanced.
A core facet of my job involved teaching Cambridge exams: Starters, KEY, FCE, CAE and General English to adults and worked with students to improve their exam technique.
2020 - 2021
English TeacherIn my current role, I teach English to young learners in China and Hong Kong. I utilise a range of media, games and activities to ensure that my classes are fun and student orientated.
