Hi friends! Riki here :) こんにちは！りきです^^ Thanks for checking out my profile page! 【About me】 Born and raised in Tokyo, currently attending university as an English/linguistics major. I am super open-minded so I'd be happy to talk about anything you wish to discuss―don't be shy! 【Interests】 My hobbies include film-photography, traveling, and eating (food is life!). I'm also interested in gender issues and language acquisition. 【Other】 I am thinking of becoming a professional Japanese teacher after graduation, but I have yet to obtain the certificate as school work gets in the way. I speak decent English and a little bit of German as well.

Che tipo di insegnante sono

I have long been a keen language learner, and I take a lot of passion in teaching Japanese since English-learning was (still is) a big part of my life. Every learner and the language journey they embark on is different, but I am very familiar with the common obstacles and struggles people face when they learn an additional language. My lessons can be challenging at times, but I am very patient, so please just bombard me with as many questions as you need to! I'd be more than happy to answer each and every one of them :) Since the main goal of my lessons is to make them fun and engaging, please feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions/ideas.

Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

My lessons are taught in both English & Japanese. I occasionally use a different teaching method for different types of learners, but for the most part, the General Lessons (grammar) are taught in English, and the Conversation Lessons, in Japanese. Regular students will have homework (not a lot, don't worry!) and are advised to also study on their own. I am super friendly and love to talk, so if you're worried about learning from a complete stranger, just know that there is nothing to worry about! If my lesson style isn't a good fit for you, that's totally okay. So please don't be pressured to continue with my lessons if you don't feel like it.
