I was born and raised in Siberia. I now reside in New York and work at a university library. My hobby is languages. I am fluent in English, conversational in Spanish, and I take classes of French. In my free time I also enjoy creating study/practice materials for Russian. I have more than a hundred ready to use PDFs on a variety of topics to help learners with vocabulary, grammar, reading and conversation skills. Here are some random fun facts about me: I am a night owl, a "cat" person, allergic to tree pollen, and I am a tad introverted which makes me a great listener. I have been to Argentina, Mexico, France and Spain. I like swimming. What about you?

Che tipo di insegnante sono

I started teaching Russian at a local nonprofit several years ago to promote learning my native language and to help learners advance their speaking skills. I was delighted to see my students progress in conversational Russian, while having fun studying and practicing together. I gained some invaluable experience and a load of amazing teaching materials. They say I am a talented instructor, and I think they are right. I am friendly, flexible and encouraging. I try to engage my students and make them speak Russian feeling at ease. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

We will have fun working on my materials! We oftentimes do not finish all the sections because we get too chatty, and it's totally fine since we practice Russian! I start with some warm-up questions, then we proceed to the topic of the lesson. I share my screen and annotate, while working together. I write on screen what we say in Russian, so you could rely on text, if needed. My PDFs have sections with new vocabulary, an activity with images, a short reading, some fun exercises, and an opinion section with various questions on the topic. By the end of the lesson I assign you a light homework and send you our notes. Learning and speaking Russian can be so much fun, you will see!
