My name is Isabella and I am from the US. I recently graduated from college (in the US) and am currently living in France teaching English for the year! I have always loved the French language, and majored in French as well as Political Science in college. I love traveling and living abroad, and love talking about these things with others. I also really enjoy meeting new people, especially those who have different cultures to share. I love to run, bike, and go hiking - I like being outside as much as possible! I am passionate about public policy, the environment, and animals! I really love music, and love recommendations for new music, movies, tv shows, etc!

Che tipo di insegnante sono

While I am in France, I am teaching English at a French high school. I have never formally taught before, but really enjoy it. Though I have students of all levels in English, it has been really amazing to share what I can with them and see them gradually improve. I love getting my students excited about learning English, and whatever it is I have planned for the day, because I think students want to learn so much more when they feel excited about the subject they are learning. English is becoming increasingly useful throughout the world, and I want to do what I can to help those who want to learn! I am very patient, and pay great attention to detail with every student I teach.

Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

I have a lot of freedom with my lessons at school, which has really given me the opportunity to hone in on what I am passionate about. I love doing comparisons between my culture and that of my students. I think it provides great insight and allows them to speak about things they are familiar with. I also enjoy teaching about current events, especially with high school students because I feel that they stay very informed (as a result of social media). I try to give my students as much time as possible for them to speak, not me, and I would do the same with someone I am tutoring. I feel that discussions on important or familiar subjects are more useful than surface-level questions.

Isabella is just amazing, you won't regret to have lessons with her. Always positive (even if you have a bad day, she will transform it in a really good one), always talkative, always smiling and for sure, she asks you questions which you have a lot of inspiration.
