I already know some Spanish so a lot of our conversation is in Spanish. After I complete a sentence Elena corrects any part of that sentence I said incorrectly. That is exactly what I was hoping for because that is how my grandmother helped my Spanish before she passed away. Thanks Elena!!

Elena prepared a thorough lesson for our class today and she delivered it with skill and enthusiasm. She is an excellent teacher!

I studied Spanish for several years before starting lessons with Elena. However, I studied a form of Spanish spoken in another Spanish speaking county so I wanted to study with a Mexican teacher to prepare for an upcoming trip to Mexico. Elena packed our lesson with vocabulary unique to Mexco. She also shared some of her personal observations on Mexican culture. She had a lesson plan prepared but nimbly shifted away from it when it made sense to do so. Also, her enthusiam for teaching is palpable. It makes for an interesting and fun class.
