Hi! I'm Catherine. I am a native English speaker from the United States and I live in India. I give lessons in English to students of all levels. When I was 12 years old I met Vanessa, a 24-year-old Australian lady, on a tour in Italy. Upon returning home, we became pen pals. I was so excited to receive her letters in the mail. I would read them again and again and enthusiastically write letters in response. How easy it is to learn when we are inspired to communicate. Che tipo di insegnante sono

I traveled to India in 2015. Apart from a couple of months during the summer when I may travel abroad, India remains my home. I live among people from more than 15 countries. Every day we hear lectures and interact with each other in both English and Hindi. For foreigners, English is the main medium of communication. Being a native English speaker, shortly after arriving I had the opportunity to teach English to non-native speakers and this is where I began teaching. Since then I have extended my teaching presence online and here on Italki. I have had students of all ages and levels from America, South America, India, Russia, China, Japan, and various European countries.

I personalize all my lessons suitable for your level and needs. My teaching style includes the natural approach and the storytelling approach. The heart of my lesson comprises of words in context, whether it be through reading, speaking, listening or writing. We will learn how to approach language through both extensive and intensive methods. Extensive being input. Intensive focusing on grammar concepts, vocabulary and cultural context. I provide homework to supplement the lessons, which are structured around repetition and comprehension exercises. I am happy to provide you with additional resources and tips to make your learning experience smooth and easy. See you in class!
