After 3,000+ lessons with 1,500+ students of all ages, and after studying other languages myself, I've learned what language students need, what gives them trouble, and what keeps them motivated. The best way to learn a new language is to practice speaking as much as possible, and I will help you do that, without being afraid of making mistakes. I will also help you learn how to avoid translating to or from your first language, and how to understand native speakers, who often speak quickly and connect their words together. I will tailor our lessons to your interests and needs, and will work hard to make sure that you are making the progress you're expecting. I will make our lessons fun and engaging, with a strong emphasis on conversation skills. Just let me know what you'd like to focus on, whether that's conversation practice, scientific or technical language, grammar and vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, or something else. Laurea triennale - Environmental Science/SpanishFor my undergraduate degree, I studied Environmental Science and Spanish. Thus, while learning about scientific concepts like geology, astronomy, and hydrology, I was also studying and practicing another language. I took literature and history classes that were entirely in Spanish, and thus had to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish almost every day.

Laurea specialistica - Natural ResourcesFor my Master's degree, I studied photosynthesis and phenology, and taught environmental science concepts to students of all ages. On the side, I also studied Spanish, Cebuano, and Mandarin Chinese.

English Language TeacherI've had the opportunity to have engaging lessons with over 1,000 English learners from around the world while teaching English online—so far, my students have called from over 60 countries on six continents. In my position, I've been able to do things like work with Turkish and Korean grad students on their cover letters, help Saudi and Brazilian high school students prepare for their English tests, and delve into the minutiae of phrasal verbs with Russian and Chinese adults.

English Language TeacherI taught English to Taiwanese students for a year at a cram school in Taichung, Taiwan. I mostly taught elementary and middle school students. I focused on grammar, pronunciation, and reading, but also incorporated speaking practice, games, and other fun activities.

English Language TeacherDuring my CELTA program, and afterwards as a volunteer, I taught English to adults and middle school students for a total of two months. I gained experience designing and implementing lesson plans and activities, and learned how to modify and improve them to ensure they are always meeting the individual student's needs.
