I have over 20 years' experience teaching and I specialize in oral communication skills. My conversation lessons aim to make you more comfortable listening and speaking. I will speak more slowly and more clearly, and suggest free online resources to practice more. My classes are fun and relaxed! I also offer a new story-based class format for beginners. - I help you become comfortable using all that you’ve learned but haven’t had a chance to practice
- I also offer a story-based class format for beginners
- I write down everything important in your own online document, which you can refer to at any time
- I suggest extra resources for listening and reading practice
- I can even make a recording of the new stuff I wrote in your Google Doc (ask me!)

Helene is so patient !!! I feel totally at ease with her - she takes her time with me and always has interesting content for the lesson ! Learning is so much fun when it's in such a relaxing setting, I look forward to my lessons every week !! Very highly recommended !!!

I'm writing in English for the benefit of new learners. Helene's classes are always full of fun and learning. You can ask her anything and she doesn't stop until you have the answer. Wish I'd had more teachers like Helene when I was in school.

In English this time around for a possibly wider audience: Hélène really is an exceptional teacher. She had a great knack for helping get past challenges, and she’s a wizard at helping to build confidence. When I started I was in the middle of a period of self-study (following a period of dissatisfaction with traditional language learning programs), but my progress had stalled. She quickly produced a cornucopia of advice on how to make my study more effective, and has pointed me toward all sorts of practice resources that are well tailored to my interests (an essential for staying motivated.) My progress since starting with her has been downright startling. At the start of the year, I was struggling to read Astérix, and now I’m happily devouring a Prix Renaudot-winning novel. My YouTube viewing habits have apparently changed enough that advice for French speakers on how to learn English tops my recommendation list. It’s just unbelievable how quickly I’m learning with her guidance.
