My journey to teaching English started by doing language exchange with many people, through which I realized that I was able to help students learn effectively, as my language partners' English fluency increased. I also realized I had a strong passion and patience for teaching! This is how I decided to become a professional English teacher!! :) I applied first to be a tutor, I tutored for a couple of years, then I got a certificate to teach English as a second language. I have had many students from all over the world, including some who have come back for many many sessions. Students tell me I am patient, helpful and professional, and I make them feel relaxed and comfortable.

I have experience in teaching English live, as a volunteer in a centre in the Chilean Patagonia. I have also taught since March 2020 as a freelancer to people off all age groups from around the world.

I am a native speaker of English earning a master's degree in linguistics and second language acquisition. I have tutored one-on-one with adult immigrants in my community and am looking forward to help you with your language goals.

I have been conversing with English language learners at my school both as volunteer and as a part time job for about a year now. I feel like I would be able to help you with continuing the conversation, pronunciation(I know a bit about how the mouth should look when making a certain sound in English and the process of learning a foreign sound since I took a Linguistics class and I understand how to add sounds to your language arsenal ^.^), and fixing your grammar mistakes. I have taught French, English and Arabic to students from all over the world, mainly adults, at all levels, in groups as well as in private lessons. Those classes included the preparation to exams such as DELF & DALF & TEF & TCF. I draw on my experience both as a language teacher and as a language student to deliver the best quality teaching I can, using resources such as PDF files, articles, homework assignments etc. for me teaching means being there to give content and structure but also a supportive presence.

I've been teaching for over 5 years. I started my teaching life teaching young learners, teenagers. Before moving onto young Adult learners, mostly at university who have more stringent learning goals, and now I teach working professionals. Where I teach a variety of different classes but mostly focusing on Business English. I have taught all people from staff all the way up to the C-level. I am a holder of both CELTA (Certificate English Language Teaching for Adults) as well as TKT-YL (Teacher Knowledge Test Young Learners).

I am a creative and modern teacher. I take time to get to know each of my students, your culture, your learning style, and what's important to you. When you buy a package, I am able to build upon each lesson through review, follow-up questions, and really getting to know you. In addition to class time, I spend a lot of creating lesson plans, grading homework, researching, and developing new skills, material, and content. I recommend that students schedule 2-3 lessons per week (plus plan on additional time working independently outside of class) to achieve the best results. Book lessons in advance if you need a specific time slot.

I worked at a multicultural language school and taught many different nationalities from a beginners level up until advanced and have experience in teaching both group and private classes. In addition to this I've taught private classes in various subjects like mathematics, science, biology and languages to secondary school students for the past three years. I am fascinated with learning on a neurological level and always try to take into account different learning styles when I teach, trying to deconstruct a problem when a student is stuck in his/her learning curve.

Simple grammar for sentence structure can't be overlooked. That's a fatal mistake that will set you back years.11 You won't actually be learning the language if you just repeat random sentences over and over instead of understanding why you say what you say. Another way to sabotage your language learning is by not practicing. You need to practice during and after the lesson, making it in a way that doesn't feel like a heavy load in your already busy life. 10 pages of homework is unnecessary. Short and simple does the job. Boring lessons can make you lose your motivation because language learning is one of the learning subjects that can be very fun to learn unlike math.
