I see myself as a mirror: I can help and guide you through the language, present grammar rules, explain vocabulary, answer questions, and correct your mistakes, but your improvement and progress are entirely up to you, how enthusiastic you are about the language you study, and your motivations. I encourage you to make mistakes, express yourself freely, and make decisions as to how you want the lessons to go. A teacher is a resource. Slowly but surely, your skills will flourish and you´ll become confident in your language abilities. For me, this is one of the best parts of my work. :)

I have graduated from Bucharest University, Faculty of Letters ( ROMANIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE-ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE). I am a calm and patient person with my students ( children, teenagers and adults), I encourage them, I emphasize their strengths and I have realized that this plays a major role in their amazing evolution, together with their volition to study and to improve their Romanian or English level.

I am an open-minded, supportive and patient teacher and I love helping my students learn. Being myself a former student here in France, I learned that no matter how hard you try, in the end, the most effective method to master a language will be to find a native with whom you can exchange in a relaxed context. Some reading at home and a little bit of writing won’t hurt as well :), nonetheless this is why I am here, to help you see this journey as something fun and not as a drudge.

• As an alumnus of Babes-Bolyai University, I achieved a degree in Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics (Japanese Language & Literature, English Language & Literature, Romanian Language & Literature, General Linguistics, Writing Techniques Seminars). • I completed a post-graduation Japanese conversational course at the Cultural Japanese Centre of Babes-Bolyai University. • I have been a full-time language tutor since March 2017, having offered over 4000 Romanian, Japanese and English lessons to students from all over the world (50+ countries) both online and in-person.

My role as a tutor is to make you feel comfortable with using the language and gain the confidence you need. I know the self doubt you may feel (will I ever be able to learn this?), the frustration and the anger. My purpose is to overcome all this and enjoy the process of learning. From my own experience as a language learner, I know what works and what is wasting your time and I am happy to share my experience with you.

I am an absolutely passionate, dedicated, creative and resourceful teacher, with a lot of experience and a wide range of teaching methods. I like being professional and I think details are important and can make a huge different. Quick illustration: one of my students got a job because he used PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS, instead of Present Simple Continuous. This made the difference for the interviewer. Being a language learner myself I'm very aware of the challenges and manage to apply my practical learner experiences into my teaching to create a confident, mindful space for my students. Confidence, motivation, and a conscious learner approach I believe to be the main driving forces for effective language acquirement. I am a patient and empathetic teacher, who will support you and celebrate your progress every step of the way! I find that motivation is one of the most important factors in developing language skills. As a result, my approach is focused on grace: instead of allowing ourselves to become unmotivated by mistakes or setbacks, we will, instead, celebrate each small improvement! I am extremely excited about the opportunity to get to know lots of people with beautiful life stories and rich cultures unbeknownst to me, and to help them reach their Romanian language goals!

At university, I studied Sociology followed by a Visual Arts Master degree from the University of Bucharest. My teaching journey started in 2014, after receiving a short, intensive TEFL training in Spain. During the years I interacted with students from all over the world: USA, England, France, Austria, Brasil, Switzerland, Norway, which I am really grateful for. I have experience in teaching English live, as a volunteer in a centre in the Chilean Patagonia. I have also taught since March 2020 as a freelancer to people off all age groups from around the world.

I can empathize with foreign language learners because i was a Foreign Language student for 3 years, learning Swedish and improving my English language skills. So I know how difficult it can be sometimes to learn a new language and that's why i consider that a friendly environment is key in learning a different language. I love my job. My aim is to make my students enjoy learning the language and feel free and confident when using it. Each student is a personality that’s why I have an individual aproach based on their interests and needs, and I try to find the most efficient methods and make classes funny and relaxed. My lessons are based on the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I am ready to help You, my Student, with anything you need. I am passionate about playing the violin, watching National Geographic, playing chess and other intellectual games. I also spend a lot of time studying professional articles and books and I enjoy creating my own teaching materials for classes.

I graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages – English and Spanish, and I also have a master's degree in Spanish. I’m a native Romanian speaker, with a standard accent, without any regional influences. I've been teaching English for 4 years now, to children in nursery schools.

I really love sharing my passion for languages and I enjoy the most seeing how my students progress in their language studies. I speak slowly - as much as it can be a drawback in life, it is an asset in teaching, because this helps the student processing the language easier, at their own pace. I have formal education in all of the languages, so I know and I can help with grammar if you need. My main goal, though, is to help you improve your speaking skills. Having learned multiple languages makes it possible for me to understand the struggles in language learning and to offer clear explanations and concrete tips about different aspects of the language or the learning process itself.

My most important goals inside the classroom are to both offer a pleasant learning environment, however also to offer one in which each student's specific goals are met. That is, no doubt, not always very simple however, I believe my style of focusing on student needs makes it more often than not, succeed.
