I'm a language learner first and a teacher second. Having this background helps me have a heightened level of patience and understanding when I work with my students. You can take all the time you need in the world to say whatever you want to say. I can step in when you need me. Think of me as training wheels on a bike! I also encourage you to get used to making mistakes. No one succeeds without making mistakes. I love teaching the Korean language and having interesting, cultural conversations. As far as corrections go, they are given in real-time, and students are encouraged to make their own notes. I'll try my best to make the corrections as easy as possible to review on your own.

Before teaching Korean I taught English to Korean teenagers over 10 years in Seoul. I'm a TESOL qualified teacher. Just before coming to Milan, I got a degree and a certificate in teaching Korean to foreigners. Experience teaching English was helpful for me to teach Korean. In Milan, I taught Korean at Universita Della Terza eta. My first students were beginners without knowing the Korean alphabet. Most of all they were busy and could spend only one hour a week. But after one year they could read it and talk simple dialogue.

I am a patient and understanding teacher. I know it is hard to learn a second language as I also put my effort into learning English. As a teacher, I make sure to listen to my students. I will be flexible but I will also make sure you improve your Korean skills with each lesson. I will make sure we have a fun vibe in the class, too!
