I have experience teaching Japanese for 2 years. I have been a language teaching assistant at a college and worked as a kinder garden teacher in Australia, where I have taught children Japanese and Japanese culture. Also, I had many opportunities to help people of all backgrounds with their Japanese when I was working at a hostel. It was one of my best experience ever!!

I’m a professional teacher who successfully completed the 420 hours Advanced Japanese Teacher Training. I’ve already met over 200 students from all over the world. It was an amazing experience for me. I used to work for an event organizing company in Tokyo. I was in a team who organize meetings, symposiums and any other events. I always love to talk to people, and obtained the communications skills through my career. My lessons are suitable for all levels.

After graduating from university, I taught Japanese at a Japanese high school for 6 years. After that, I wanted to learn more about Japanese, so I took a course to become a Japanese teacher and passed the certification exam. Now I am working online as a Japanese teacher. I am good at not only conversation and grammar, but also essay correction and interview practice.

I am not an uncompromisingly person. Therefore, I am happy to change the class style depending on the student. There is one thing that I recommend as a teacher is to learn Japanese by using Japanese language. I understand it is hard for some people. However, I would like to try them as much as possible, because this challenge helps them a lot in the future.

After I came to Vancouver, I realized that how speaking English could expand my possibilities and allow me to meet wonderful people, and at the same time, I also came to appreciate that I was born in Japan and know the language and culture (especially food haha). That's how I came to think that I wanted to help other people to learn, understand and enjoy Japanese culture and to expand their possibilities too!

- Teaching experience in foreign countries I have taught Japanese at university in Mexico and high school in Honduras as a volunteer tutor. In Mexico, I was tutoring and mentoring local students who major in the Japanese language once a week for half a year. In Honduras, I taught Japanese to local high school students for a week as a volunteer tutor. - Teaching experience as an online tutor I have been teaching Japanese from Kids to adult-age foreign people via other language teaching platforms. I basically have 30 active students in a week. I get used to teaching Japanese via online video.

I have been teaching Japanese to non-Japanese people since 1995. I currently teach Japanese to students who study at universities around Osaka. These years I have been assigned to academic writing classes, so I can help you write passages such as essays. Meanwhile I have been studying foreign languages such as English, Spanish, Korean and recently Chinese. I believe I have tips to offer from my learning experiences. I also have taught nearly 1200 lessons at italki as of mid-October 2018, which has helped me to improve my teaching on application like skype.

I instruct students on how to construct grammatically correct sentences, proper pronunciation, pitch accent, and also improve student’s vocabulary. I welcome students of all levels. For our lessons, we can use a book called Genki, but if you don’t have one, it’s totally no problem. I like playing guitar, which means we can talk about music as well as many other topics.

I have taught Japanese as a second language to hundreds of people in both group and private lessons of all ages, including high school students (The Victorian Certificate of Education in Australia). I’ve been teaching many years and so my text books have been well used especially the beginner ones. I also have a lot of experience in preparing students for JLPT exams from N5 to N1. I have always tried to provide a comfortable and encouraging environment in my class. I adapt the pace of progress to the students.

As a teacher, I love to make students feel confident to speak English with me and make mistakes. I feel that it is essential to not be scared to communicate and express your opinion even if it is a bit difficult at the beginning. I have learned 5 foreign languages myself, that is why I know many effective and fun methods to memorize information and communicate faster! I strongly believe that learning should be a fun process - that is when it is the most effective. It's meaningless if you learn a language, but don't know how to use it. Of course, it’s important to learn correct grammar and usage, but if you can’t understand and convey your opinion, you won't be able to have meaningful conversations. I consider language to be a tool, and in our class, I want to teach you how to use that tool effectively. That's why our classes always start from natural conversation.

I am a professional Japanese teacher. I am a native Japanese speaker. I completed all the requirements of Japanese Language Teacher Training Course (420 hours). I have taught students who are from children to adults and from various countries. I studied English at university. I know that it is difficult to learn foreign language, but I will be your personal teacher, so you can ask me everything about Japanese. I am a friendly person, so we would enjoy our lessons. I can teach Japanese at a variety of levels, from beginner to advanced test preparation. I can teach 4 skills i.e. listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar.
