I have been studying foreign languages for many years, and I am still in this process. Teaching and learning are two sides of the same coin. You cannot teach if you are not open to learning every single day. I am currently studying to get CEDILS (Certificate to teach Italian to foreigners). I really LOVE TO SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE and I feel happy when my students progress. I will do my best to make you feel at ease and challenged. I will help you overcome some typical blocks we all have while learning a new language, such as the fear of making mistakes or the fear of speaking. I'm an emphatic, easy-going, and patient teacher. I graduated from Padua University in Classics in 2013 and started working after few months in a private school in Padua as a teacher for Italian as a second language. After one year I decided to specialize in the field of teaching languages and I had a Masters in Advanced Planning for teaching Italian to foreigners. I also had a second-level DILS-PG certification and I’m a CILS and CELI examiner. I’ve been working as a contract teacher for the University for Foreigners of Perugia for 2 years. I'm currently working for them in Milan at the European Institute of Design, where I prepare Chinese-speaking students for the admission exams for design courses.

I started to teach italian more than three years ago to people of any nationality and age and I realised that is something that fills me up. I prefer to base the lessons on the conversation and on the practical application of grammar.

Languages, under any perspective, are my main passion, and Italian is the common theme of my academic studies, my working experiences and many of my hobbies. During the last 8 years I have been teaching Italian as L2 both in Italy and Spain and it is a privilege to see my students improving their skills with time.

I love to conversate and teach my native language to foreign language learners. If you speak spanish of french i can also speak in these languages. Precisely because i’m a student of languages too, I’ll know how to help you with your method of studying and I’ll teach you some tricks to improve the learning of a language. Especially with vocabulary. If we are practicing in conversation we’ll always find something to talk about! I’ll stimulate you through questions and both me and you will be part of the dialogue.

My technical knowledge of the language learning process is supported by my personal experience in learning foreign languages. This helps me to find the right balance between grammar, conversation, and ludic activities to keep the lesson light to follow and the interest high. I attended training for Waldorf teachers for two years and got plenty of ideas and experience about teaching more creatively!

Before becoming a teacher I was a language student like you. Therefore I can relate to your embarrassment in speaking. I understand when you say that you have a lot of knowledge, but you can’t express yourself as well as you would like to. Been there, done that. I still remember that, even if I knew all the grammar, when it came to speaking I wasn’t able to put together a sentence. Because of that, more than a teacher I want to be a guide, patience, understanding and encouraging. I'll help you in pursuing your goals and make progress in the language. How am I going to do that? If there's one thing that gives me joy is talking about languages, their grammatical peculiarities, the culture they originate from and finding similarities with Italian. The only other thing that comes close is being able to communicate proficiently in a foreign language while learning something new in the process. Listening, repeating, speaking, practicing and writing are all key to the learning path and I'll commit to adjust our sessions to whatever method suits you the most.

I'm a certified Italian teacher for foreigners and I started with private lessons both online and in presence. So far, my students have expressed satisfaction about my lessons, because I'm flexible in my schedule and very focused on their goals. In my lessons, I follow an inductive methodology, which means that, as a guide in the learning process of the students, I help them to discover by themselves the rules that govern the various linguistic aspects. I think that this methodology is much more effective than other more traditional methods, since it allows better internalize what has been learned.

Ho frequentato il corso di formazione di base di ELE (insegnamento dello spagnolo come lingua straniera) presso l'Instituto Cervantes di Roma. I have experience with kids: I helped them studying different subjects, including Spanish and Italian. I attended a basic ELE course (teaching spanish as foreign language) at the Instituto Cervantes in Rome.
