I have a Master’s degree in foreign languages taken at the University of Catania. I have been teaching for about 8 years now. I started working at one of the local hospitals in town where I taught English and Spanish to medicine students and doctors. In 2015 I set up a school of languages which I run and where I still teach English and Italian today (along with other fellow teachers). I’m a qualified TEFL teacher, qualification that I got by joining a 120-hour TEFL course, held at school, given by an expert TEFL teacher, and I have got a Certificate of Proficiency in English (level C2). Moreover, I have worked for many companies based in my city.

I'd like lessons to be fun as well as rewarding. In the next section I propose a way to organize our time but I'm open for any requests from students that wish to personalize their lessons.

I came to teach quite by chance. I bumped into a job advert and send through my cv. Unexpectedly, they gave me an interview, which went well so I flew to UK to teach Italian. That was incredible. Since then, I have been specialising in teaching. I have a university degree in science communication, specialises in journalism and I am at the second year of a second degree in languages and foreigh cultures, specialises in English and Spanish.I have got the CEDILS certification which is a certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language. I have also got C1/2 level proficiency certificates in English, Spanish and Japanese (CAE, DELE C2, JLPT2).

Conversational Italian is the goal here. I'll help you gain fluency and learning new vocabulary including slang. I'm a language learner myself so I know what you wants from a teacher.

Il mio percorso di studi mi ha dato l'opportunità di perfezionare l'inglese in una Summer School al Dartmouth College (US), e il giapponese alla Ritsumeikan University di Kyoto. Questi viaggi, insieme a molti altri che ho fatto da solo o con amici, sono stati fra le esperienze più belle e divertenti fino ad ora. Il divertimento è per me la chiave per imparare presto e bene: sentendosi stimolati si impara molto più velocemente e con meno sforzi. I attended an Italian Liceo Classico, a school emphasizing on the learning of Italian Literature, Latin and Ancient Greek, as means to deeply understand modern Italian grammar and acquire a vast vocabulary.
