Ho una Laurea Triennale in Lettere Moderne e una Laurea Magistrale in Filologia Moderna. Sono un'insegnante di lingua e letteratura italiana presso le scuole superiori di primo e secondo grado. Attualmente vivo a Lecco, dove insegno anche italiano agli studenti stranieri e nel tempo libero do lezioni su Italki.

First of all, I would say that I am very "kind" and flexible. I always try to adapt myself on my students' needs, and I think that it is very important to ask and know about my students' interests, hobbies, things they find very difficult when it comes to speaking and studying a new language and so on. I really care about my students and about their progress in learning. I am open to any kind of feedback and any kind of requests in order to make our lessons "better". For example, we could also try to learn a new language with songs!

I’m very respectful, and love every culture. It’s important to satisfy your needs: it’s useless to give you tons of “jobs vocabulary” if you want to spend an holiday chilling in the sunny Italy. My different backgrounds help me today: my education in cinema, media studies and advertising helps me in “building” an effective message transmission. Having worked in web design gives me IT and creative skills.Classical Studies (Latin and Greek) give me etymology and a 360 view on the language.

I truly love teaching and find it so exciting to watch my students make progress. I am very versatile and I have experience teaching students ages 3 to 80! I started tutoring college level students while I was in grad school and have continued to teach adults. I know what it's like to be a beginner student so I am extremely patient and I like to keep things fun and lighthearted!

I used to tutor children and teenagers in their school years helping them with subjects such as Italian grammar and literature. I am actually pretty much into classical literature. I also helped many adults learning Italian, especially my fellow East European and Arab immigrants. Since I've been on italki I've realized how much I missed doing this, and how much I love it! I still do not have any particular qualitication as a teacher (but it's actually in my plans) so I don't have the pretension to teach to an academic level. However, I do have a lot of experience, both live and online, and I do speak both languages on a native level, using them everyday in school, work and personal life.

I have a degree in law (with honours) and have an excellent knowledge of Italian grammar. In fact, every day I have to draw up complex legal acts that require a very thorough knowledge of the Italian language. During my lessons I use various tools (text, audio, video) that I personally chose to improve you in the aspects of the Italian language in which you are most lacking. Also, I can create exercises just for you. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson, I will show you the aspects you need to work on most.

Professional (I have got the certificate for teaching Italian to foreigners CEDILS by University of Venice Ca' Foscari), but also funny and engaging. My approach is "relaxing", I want to teach Italian in a "easy" way, depending on the level of the student. I use different materials (my own presentantions, pdf, audio, video, online exercises), and I put them at students' disposal. Especially for beginners, I think that grammar is fundamental but it mustn't be boring. I also like to talk about Italian history, culture and way of life. I speak a very good English, less good German and Spanish, but since the lessons will be mostly in Italian anyone is welcome.

I'm patient, approachable and proactive. My lessons are focused on speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, but I give mainly importance to conversation because I think the more you speak the more you feel comfortable speaking. I also know that motivation is essential to learn a language, so I have my students choose their topics of interest and fix their goals. In this regard, I had the good fortune of taking part in a seminar held by Anthony Mollica creator of "Recreational Linguistics" a method to acquire linguistic and cultural skills through word games and lexical combinations. It inspired me, so I will do my best to make your studying fun and easy!

I adopt a communicative approach, without dismissing the importance of focusing on specific aspects of the language. I love to transmit not only the language, but also the cultures of Italy! My travel experience and knowledge of people of all nationalities have greatly helped me in teaching languages because I have developed empathy and listening skills to meet my students’ needs. I graduated in Foreign Languages, I am a CELI examiner, I got a Masters in Teaching Italian to Foreigners and more than 10 years of experience in teaching languages. I love teaching: since I was a child I've always wanted to become a teacher. I have been teaching italian for more than two years online and in presence both individually and to groups of students. I have been teaching Italian for two years, and I specialise in adults from 17 years old. During this time, I fell in love with my profession as I really like sharing my knowledge with people. I always try to improve my teaching style. For this reason, I studied how to teach languages at university and took courses about language coaching and microlearning in my free time. My first experience with language-teaching and exchange (a good and useful experience) was represented by tandem language learning (when I lived in Brighton). My lessons are structured according to language proficiency levels set by the European framework. But, beyond that, methodology, approach and the relationship between teacher and student are all that matters. Language isn't just grammar. Language is a communicative act and grammar plays a fundamental role in order to learn a language. It can't be, however, the only way to "achieve the objective". I think you can learn languages if you don't get bored, if you feel enthusiasm, if you have passion for what you are learning.

I am a certified teacher (I obtained the DITALS certification from the University for foreigners of Siena) and I have experience with one-to-one lessons both in presence and online, with adults of many nationalities and with teenagers and children. Before that I studied at the Liceo classico (studying Italian literature, Latin and ancient greek language and literature) and then I studied international law at the university of Milan.
