La mia vita come educatore è molto varia. Negli ultimi cinque anni ho lavorato nelle scuole elementari in Italia, Regno Unito e Spagna. I love teaching, it's something I've always wanted to do. In high school I attended Liceo classico: a specific kind of high school focused on learning Italian grammar, Italian literature, Latin, Ancient Greek, history and philosophy. That's why I've got a strong grammar basis and a deep knowledge of Italian literature as well. I think mistakes are a very important part of the learning process, you don't have to get discouraged from them.

Before starting lessons with a new student, I would like to understand what your goals are in order to decide on a lesson plan together. My lessons are both for beginners and people with an advanced level of Italian.

I started to teach 12 years ago, after my graduations in Italian cultural heritage. I started to work in a theatre with children and teenagers. I developed my teaching skills and I collaborated with theaters, associations and schools. In the first years of experience I taught theatre and art: I learned a lot about how to teach, how to relate with students, how to listen them and how make everything interesting for all kind of different people. Then I started to teach English in primary and secondary schools and in some associations where adults wanted to learn a new language. After that I started with Italian in some associations of foreigners.

My focus is to teach according to the requirements and needs of the students. I'm very patient and I love my job! You will feel very comfortable speaking and practicing Italian with me! I'm used to help people learning Italian and I have 7 years of experience in teaching Italian.

I started teaching four years ago and I personally love it. I love to share my knowledge about languages and culture. I studied very hard to provide my students excellent materials and easy grammar explanations.

Per me risulta fondamentale mettere a proprio agio lo studente, in modo che non si limiti per timore di fare errori, ma al contrario, si senta in uno spazio sicuro che permette la libera pratica e l'apprendimento. Dopotutto, se si ha sempre paura di sbagliare non ci si esercita mai! For me is fundamental to put the student at ease, so that he/she doesn't end up limiting him/herself for fear of making mistakes. The student has to feel him/herself in a safe space, that allows practice and learning. You'll never exercise the language if you're scared of making mistakes!

Ho deciso di diventare un insegnante di italiano, perché penso che molte persone dovrebbero avere un'esperienza come la mia, visitare un paese e rimanere lì per tutto il tempo che vuoi. Per questo motivo voglio aiutare le persone a comunicare bene con i cittadini Italiani, perché in Italia ci sono molti dialetti, ma se sai come parlare bene la lingua, sarai in grado di comunicare con chiunque. Ho esperienza come insegnante d'Italiano, musica e fotografia, con bambini e adolescenti provenienti da quartieri o settori marginali della città.

Currently, I work in an English Private School in Turin and I teach both English and Italian to non-native speakers. I taught English to toddlers (0-3 years old) in a private nursery. In addition, during my MA degree I was a university tutor for international students who wanted to learn and improve their Italian language skills, and I helped Italian university students to improve their English skills. Finally, I managed English courses for teenagers in summer campuses, where I held a workshop in which students had to create a comic strip with them as protagonists with dialogues written in English.

As a teacher I usually teach to my students the strategies that allowed me to speak three languages fluently. I learnt those strategies during the course of my life, looking out of the traditional academic schemes. I will teach you to be confident and to not be afraid of making mistakes, a crucial component for learning faster. I usually make the class a real conversation about the topics you prefer, in order to create the most relaxed environment possible, as if it was a talk with friends. Then, we will see together what we can improve about every areas of the language.
