I am curious, open-minded, and flexible, meaning that I always try to adapt to my student's needs. I believe that the more fun you have, the better you learn! My main focus is a conversation, however, I am open to go through single grammar topics and adapt my lessons accordingly.

I started to teach italian more than three years ago to people of any nationality and age and I realised that is something that fills me up. I prefer to base the lessons on the conversation and on the practical application of grammar.

My teaching values are: respect, encouragment and dedication to my students. I always try to create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere during our time together. Our lessons are a space and time for you in which to take the risks of practicing and experimenting with the language you want to speak while receiving a kind and accurate feedback. . I make myself available for any doubts you might have between our lessons and I offer specific extra services to boost your learning process and tackle any difficulties you're facing in specific areas of the language (for example you can understand the language but you can't speak; sometimes the opposite can also occur).

I am a very patient and positive person, I like to help people understand and organize everything in the best way possible. I love to talk about any type of topic or even answer some questions or curiosities of the student.

I like to smile and enjoy the class but I’m also able to guide you with extra tips, encourage to a part of self-study. As an official examiner I can prepare you for Certificates (CELI, CILS,PLIDA). I’m very respectful, and love every culture. It’s important to satisfy your needs: it’s useless to give you tons of “jobs vocabulary” if you want to spend an holiday chilling in the sunny Italy. My different backgrounds help me today: my education in cinema, media studies and advertising helps me in “building” an effective message transmission. Having worked in web design gives me IT and creative skills.Classical Studies (Latin and Greek) give me etymology and a 360 view on the language.

I am a cheerful person and I try to give joy to my students. I think that learning without realising it is the best way to reach a goal. I know that every single student takes their own time to learn. I am very patient and I always wait for an answer. I think that silence is very important too and is not good to force a student to speak when he or she is not completely self-confident. As a teacher I will teach you to be confident avoiding the fear to making mistakes, which is a crucial component for learning faster. We will practice a lot through conversation which will help you to gain confidence in communicating and understanding Italian in typical “everyday scenarios”, and most important we will learn the Italian language using a cultural approach more than an academic one, without, however, neglecting the study of grammar and pronunciation. Our conversation will be setting in a relaxed environment, as if it was a talk with friends.

I've always helped my friends to learn French or Italian during my stay in France and also during my studies in Italy where I always helped foreign and Erasmus students learning Italian and English. I love to share my culture and to learn about other cultures, I really think that learning a new language is a way to connect, share and give yourself more possibilities and opportunities to reach your goals and to become a more open-minded and better person. I always try to share all of this during my lessons. That’s why I don’t like to say that I teach languages, I’d rather say that I exchange with people through the languages I speak.

I have a bachelor's degree in teaching Italian and English as foreign languages and I have experience in teaching to whole school classes but also in training individual students. I really enjoy teaching one-to-one lessons because students get to talk a lot and I can tailor the lesson to every student's needs. Having learned different languages myself, I can totally understand how you feel as a language learner, and thanks to my experience with international students, I have a feeling for the most difficult topics. Therefore, I'll make the class atmosphere as relaxed as possible :)

As a teacher I'm very open-minded and I love to try new methods of teaching. I read a lot about education and I also experiment on myself when I'm learning a language. Whatever I find to be effective, I'll bring into the class. Of course, I also take into account what you like and what your preference is. I love teaching, it's something I've always wanted to do. In high school I attended Liceo classico: a specific kind of high school focused on learning Italian grammar, Italian literature, Latin, Ancient Greek, history and philosophy. That's why I've got a strong grammar basis and a deep knowledge of Italian literature as well. I think mistakes are a very important part of the learning process, you don't have to get discouraged from them.
