I have a Master Degree in teaching Italian and the CELTA certification to teach English, so I can truly understand the differences between the two languages and I can help you avoid translation errors and recognize false friends. I consider myself fortunate to have had the chance to combine the two things I love the most - travelling and teaching and in fact I taught languages in several countries: Uk, China, Germany and now Italy. I have been teaching Italian for two years, and I specialise in adults from 17 years old. During this time, I fell in love with my profession as I really like sharing my knowledge with people. I always try to improve my teaching style. For this reason, I studied how to teach languages at university and took courses about language coaching and microlearning in my free time. I'm patient, approachable and proactive. My lessons are focused on speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, but I give mainly importance to conversation because I think the more you speak the more you feel comfortable speaking. I also know that motivation is essential to learn a language, so I have my students choose their topics of interest and fix their goals. In this regard, I had the good fortune of taking part in a seminar held by Anthony Mollica creator of "Recreational Linguistics" a method to acquire linguistic and cultural skills through word games and lexical combinations. It inspired me, so I will do my best to make your studying fun and easy!

Being a language learner myself, I know what are the problems that students are facing and what are the most common mistakes. I try to approach language learning in a fun way, it is important to keep motivated! It's also important to understand that if you want to learn a language you need to commit to practicing it almost on a daily basis. This doesn't mean you have to spend hours studying! you can spend just a few minutes per day just reading an article, or listening to a song or a podcast! Grammar is important, but for me, what is more important is to be able to understand the language and to communicate!

I am a qualified English teacher but I have now specialised in teaching Italian as a second language and after two years working in two different private schools (teaching English and Spanish) I have started teaching Italian in an Italian institute in Istanbul. I love teaching because I've always found lovable students who have a lot to share with me in terms of interests and experiences, and it's amazing to give them the possibility to express themselves. I am expert in intermediate levels, so I can help students who are maybe strong at grammar competence or reading skills but still don't arrive to manage a good conversation or to speak fluently. My focus is on practising and getting to know the real culture, avoiding stereotypes about Italian people, and having authentic conversations.
