I went to a german Gymnasium and to a turkish university. I am a primary school teacher in Turkey. I am a german and turkish native speaker. I had many students in Germany and Turkey, which I gave extra courses.

I began teaching in 2004 at a Waldorf school in southern England. I taught a variety of humanities, including German, English, and French. I have also worked in translations for many years, which has helped me to learn the subtleties of expression in the languages I use. I believe in learning naturally, without studying rules and structure (none of us do this with our first language, after all!). I have always enjoyed seeing progress in others, and facilitating this in an effortless way is something I find very rewarding. I have also taught theatre, as well as worked with disadvantaged young people, focusing on motivation, self-esteem and self-confidence.

Der Grund meines Studiums der Germanistik (ab 2011) war vor allem der Wunsch Deutsch als Fremdsprache zu unterrichten. Bereits während des Studiums begann ich mit Abendkursen an der Volkshochschule, wo ich auf Niveaus von A1 bis B2 unterrichte. Spezialisiert habe ich mich dann auf die medizinische Fachsprache für Pflegekräfte und Mediziner und die Vorbereitung auf die Fachsprachprüfung (FSP), da mein zuerst erlernter Beruf Physiotherapeutin ist und ich daher mit der medizinischen Terminologie bestens vertraut bin.

I studied Germanistic at the university in Kiev. Since 2010 I teach German and English and since 2016 Russian online. Some years ago I gained the experience teaching in private for max. 12 students. Lately I mostly give individual and also group lessons for max. 3 students online. I consider this way of teaching also efficient and meaningful.

Teaching since 2016 I specialise in technical and general online language classes mainly for care personnel (nurses). I am highly experienced in using web based document annotation apps, communication and meeting platforms, virtual classrooms and Learning management systems. I hold a TELC examiner license for Deutsch B1-B2 +Pflege which also allows me insight and knowledge of test formats and the CEFR guidelines and level requirements. I can offer both general and intensive German classes from Beginners to advanced levels (up to C1/C2) including all 4 competency levels (Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading) as well as grammar reviews, exam preparation and proofreading.

I teach German with easy and fun steps. I do not teach grammar with complicated conjugation tables, but with a lot of funny examples. That way, the class does not get boring and the student keeps his interest. I enforce his learning by letting him read good German books, watch famous German videos etc.

As I've been interested in languages for quite some time, I learned Latin, English and French at school and proceeded with a BA in French linguistics and literature. While completing my undergraduate, I started giving private tutoring lessons in English, French and German and noticed how much I enjoy teaching languages. After graduating I lived in the French speaking part of Switzerland where I also worked as a language assistant for German.

Friends that I teach German always tell me that I was a huge help for them. I am a really patient and passionate teacher. My biggest aim will be that you speak German as perfect as possible. I pay a lot of attention to mistakes and pronunciation. I speak German very slowly compared to other German natives so that you won't have any trouble understanding me. Since I haven't study German officially I might not be a grammar expert but I can ensure you totally that I am very good in doing research and preparing sources for you. I know exactly where to look these kind of things up when I am getting asked questions about grammar and I was told that I explain very very well and easy.

I am a firm believer in making learning - especially language learning - fun and am convinced that with this, dedication and immersion you can get pretty much anywhere in a language! But also: don't be afraid to mess up! Everybody makes mistakes when getting into a new language (I've been there), and sometimes it will seem like you'll never stop making the same mistakes, but I am happy to help and go over things multiple times.

I am a teacher that wants you to think about a language. I want you to understand the structure and how a language works. Memorization is a very inefficient and boring way to learn languages. This will also reflect in my teaching style. I will show you etymological patterns to dissect vocabulary and see where words come from. I am a patient person.
