I have school based experience from Russian and Danish schools. For 8 years I have been working as a private tutor teaching kids and adults, creating special programs for them which would meet their goals and interests, help them improve their language level and prepare for language exams and interviews.

If I have to repeat the lesson, just to make sure that my student understands and absorbs something, I'm willing to do it. I know English can be very difficult. From the spelling and pronunciation, to holding a conversation. I also know how it feels to make mistakes and get embarrassed when you make a mistake. I think that providing patience, kindness, and an environment to safely make errors and learn from them is the best way to improve. During my first three years in China I taught at an International school in the south of China, and then at a training school, High school and IELTS training center in the north of China. I am really familiar with IELTS, FCE, CAE, and CPE, for example, so we will start with a mock test, so I can find out your strengths and weaknesses, then work hard to build on your strengths and improve your weaknesses. This usually works very well with some successful strategies I have. For conversation or business lessons, we choose topics that are relevant to you, whether it is about problems you have speaking in meetings, or just talking fluently with good pronunciation.
