I have been teaching English for over 20 years, and Macedonian and Serbian for about 5 years. My classes are student centered, so my priority is to assess what the students need and what their learning style is. Once I find out what is important for the students, I tailor my lessons to them and personalize my instruction. First and foremost I am a learner who enjoys learning languages as a hobby. I have written a language course for those tackling German and my approach with beginners is to introduce new language in a very structured way and to prioritise patterns above vocabulary, at least at the start. For more advanced students I am happy to select materials based on their interests.
