I would describe my teaching style as very interactive. I prefer to create a teaching environment that encourages critical thinking and elicits responses from my students rather than having them merely retain and repeat information. I have 3+ years of teaching and tutoring experience in numerous fields like Psychology, Social Work, and Criminology that is all conducted in English. I have been teaching English in Korea and the UK for nearly 10 years now. In Korea, I worked at private language institutions such as Wall Street Institute and Direct English where I taught students of various ages and careers. In the UK, I briefly taught in the summer programme at Bristol Language Centre, but I've mainly worked at the University of Bath where I am currently based. I am now working as an educational researcher, but still occasionally teaching students on academic skills. I am also a CELTA qualified teacher with a Master’s in TESOL and PhD in Education.

I believe learning should be fun. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience.
