I have been teaching children for about 30 years. My specialty is working with children with Special Needs - particularly those who have difficulties with reading, spelling and maths. I am also involved in Adult Education, helping women who are training to be preschool teachers.

I like to build long-term relations with my students (some students stay with me for years, which I consider to be the best proof of their satisfaction). However, I also prepare for language exams (which is usually unfortunately shorter cooperation yet also a fruitful one). I also teach kids (I have the most experience with 10+).

I'm looking for students of all levels, with all sorts of needs. I can provide a clear introduction on basic Italian grammar and vocabulary as well as deeper insight into them through a communicative approach.

I’m a very patient person, who focuses on details. I believe that the language must be adopted, as I consider that the conversation is the best way to adopt the vocabulary and to correct grammar. I like to adapt my class to my students' needs, helping them with grammar review and exercises that can help them to improve in the language.

One common piece of positive feedback I have received throughout my teaching career is that my adult students enjoy the positive and productive atmosphere of my classes. I am genuinely interested in learning about and getting to know my students, and I believe that this shows in my lessons. Speaking in a new language to someone you do not know very well can be difficult and scary (I know this well from my Spanish lessons!), so having a positive and relaxing environment is very important.

I'll make sure to guide and motivate you during your learning process and you can always ask me anything, even outside of class. If you want, I will also give you weekly homework so you can improve your level outside our classes as well.

I have been teaching English for the past 3 years, so I know how to help a student from a beginner level to a more advanced level. In my classes, I generally like to do a mixture between grammar and practicing the language. Generally, I prefer to follow the European Framework of Reference for Languages as my guide when planning classes. I believe that grammar and vocabulary is important – but so is the experience of learning English. Taking into account your language level and your goals, we can work together to create the perfect language learning experience that you need.
