I am a TEFL certified teacher and I have over 3 years of experience teaching students of all ages. In my classes, I focus on conversation, vocabulary, and pronunciation. My classes are best suited for intermediate or advanced English learners. I think that conversation is the most important part of learning a new language.

I am very flexible and yet, disciplined. I am always focused on the student's needs and goals. I always design a plan during our first lesson to make sure that the student improves his or her English in the long run.

In addition to two years teaching English oral expression, I also have two years of experience teaching high school biology, environmental science, and anatomy/ physiology, so I'm happy to talk science in English with you. I love incorporating a variety of learning tools so that you're getting what you need.

As a teacher, my main focus will be teaching day-to-day English. I can also teach slang and explain the different phrases used by different English speakers. What may be polite in one country may be considered rude in another! I studied creative writing at university so I have a good grasp of the English language and a wide vocabulary. I also have a TEFL certificate (150 hours). Over the last few years I have casually tutored young adults (18-30) in English and I have also tutored teenagers in mathematics.

I like to build long-term relations with my students (some students stay with me for years, which I consider to be the best proof of their satisfaction). However, I also prepare for language exams (which is usually unfortunately shorter cooperation yet also a fruitful one). I also teach kids (I have the most experience with 10+).

I am fully qualified to teach English as a second language, and my qualifications include specialisation in teaching students online as well as teaching Business English. I have taught these preparation courses at various schools in my country, and I have prepared many students for these exams online as well! All of the students under my tutelage are extremely happy with their results from my instruction. The demographic of my current and regular students include: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Spain, Russia, Germany, USA, Canada, etc. Most of them are highly educated. I have taught Master’s and PhD students preparing for the Spanish Exam “DELE”, the Spanish OPI or English Standardized Exams (TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS).

As a teacher my primary goal is to make you confident and comfortable speaking in another language. I've taught myself Spanish and I know that's not easy. But confidence is the key to fluency, and I will work with you to make you more confident with each lesson. The best teachers are the ones who listen. I am extremely patient, focused, and I like to make sure my students feel like every lesson is a step forward in their learning.
