I have 5+ years of English teaching experience for​ all ages. I love helping others reach their goals with English proficiency and having fun along the way! I have been teaching English to students of all ages since 2013. I began tutoring college students in ESL at my Korean University. Then I became a full-time kindergarten and elementary school teacher instructing 4- 13 year old in English proficiency, pronunciation, grammar, and writing. During this time I also tutored adults part-time working with them on vocabulary, conversation, public speaking, and proofreading.

I have designed, prepared and delivered workshops for both major businesses and private clients, covering negotiation and communication skills, Legal, Administration and Medical courses and helped many clients prepare for interviews, conferences, presentations and seminars. In each class there will be a lot of speaking practice and we will focus on the language that you need. I use the communication style of teaching English so I will correct your grammar and pronunciation as you talk.

I am fully qualified to teach English as a second language, and my qualifications include specialisation in teaching students online as well as teaching Business English. As previously stated I am learning Spanish and never dreamed it would be so challenging to learn a second language. I made many mistakes at first in my studies. But over time I discovered there is a wrong way and a right way to master a second language. I took a TESOL course here in Guadalajara and taught in a private school. So now I can call myself an experienced trained teacher, that is very patient and understanding.

As a teacher, I like to think of myself as patient and flexible. I have taught in many very different settings. The type of students in these settings varied greatly. All needed varying teaching methods in order to succeed. Flexibility was a necessary skill to be a good teacher during those times. The same thought applies to the present day. I earned my TEFL certificate in 2015, and I've been teaching at a private language school in Florence ever since. I have taught students or all levels from a wide variety of backgrounds. I also have a lot of experience in test preparation--my specialties are the TOEFL and the SAT, but I also have experience with iELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge exams, ACT, GMAT, and GRE.

I absolutely LOVE teaching and connecting with students. I am very relaxed and easy to connect with so hopefully you are never too nervous in my class.
