Hi, My name is Miriam Kimani from Nairobi, Kenya. I am a native English, Swahili and Gikuyu speaker who is very keen on tutoring my mother tongue Gikuyu and Swahili. I've been conversing and reading in these two languages for over 30 years and it would bring me great joy to pass on these skills to others. Swahili and Gikuyu are both Bantu dialects and are related, once you learn one of them, the other is automatically within reach. Moi en tant que professeur

I have taught in a community center before. The trainees were young vulnerable girls from under privileged households that were determined to fend for themselves and evade the prostitution and crime that are prevalent in their neighborhoods. i understand the impact that a skill can have on a person and I'm determined to relive that reality by teaching my native languages on this platform. I'm looking forward to grow with my students as practice makes perfect. I intend to teach how to converse and eventually how to read both swahili and gikuyu languages.

My style is mostly conversational. I am interested in my students learning how to have conversations in Gikuyu and Swahili and eventually how to read and write. It is doable. It is possible. It is within grasp with patience and lots of enthusiasm.
