I was born in a very small town in Zimbabwe called Kwekwe and at 14 years of age I moved to South Africa, Johannesburg where I am currently staying. I've always had a passion for teaching and that is mostly because I like interacting with people and having conversations. My favorite language is English ,admittedly because I love English literature the likes of poetry and novels .I am quite a religious person, a Jehovah's Witness actually and I have to say that I'm grateful for my religious training because it taught me how to be genuinely interested in people and not to force my beliefs on people but to do my best to assist them best I can for their benefit.

Moi en tant que professeur

I am a new teacher who doesn't have any professional teaching experience . The only other 'unprofessional' forms of teaching I've engaged in would be tutoring, taking the lead in school projects and as part of my religious activities.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

I would describe my teaching manner as conversational, where I get to know how best to assist the student based on what is it appeals to the student and I can only get to know what appeals to the student by getting to know them. I've also learnt how to apply qualities like patience as I teach ,understanding that learning in general is stressful but learning another language might just be more so. I use whatever material ranging from textbooks to videos depending on what appeals to the student most and what will be most effective in teaching them.

120-Hour TESOL certificate - International Open Academy - 2021The certificate allows me to understand how best to teach English as a second language to someone coming from a different language background. It also familiarized me with the common challenges teachers face and how best to overcome them. To get the certification, I was required to study and take exams but most importantly, pass the exams provided by the institution.
