Hello! My name is Keiko. Call me Keiko or Kay-Sensei. I was born in Kyoto and raised in Osaka, now I live in Nara. I love living in the Kansai area and I can teach you some of the Kansai dialects if you're interested. In my free time, I like playing tennis, studying English and watching dramas on TV. I also love traveling abroad and go scuba diving on vacation.

Moi en tant que professeur

I've been teaching the local students English for over 25 years and I find teaching very exciting. Now I'm excited to teach Japanese to people all over the world. Although my carrier as a Japanese teacher has just started, I'll do my very best to give you fun lessons.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

In the General Japanese Course for Beginners, I follow the syllabus of Minna no Nihongo. I teach vocabulary, grammar, verb conjugations and useful conversations. I usually do not use textbooks as I'd like you to focus more on speaking than reading. I use a lot of pictures and worksheets. In the Informal Tutoring Course, we'll enjoy talking in Japanese. If you like to talk about any specific topics, please let me know.
