I always enjoyed English as a subject at school and received good grades. With English and my qualification in Business Studies I was then able get my first teaching job in Paris, teaching predominantly Business English in schools and in companies. Teaching gave me the opportunity to indulge my passion for travel and I spent the next four years teaching in Europe before returning to the UK to consolidate my work experience with a Diploma in TEFL. Since then I have taught mainly in central London Schools and appreciate the opportunity it has given me to really get to know people and their different cultures. Generally I think that for students to learn effectively it's important to create a relaxed, less formal atmosphere in lessons, whilst also ensuring that students are being made aware of the progress they are making. However that said, I think that my lessons and teaching style are dependent to a great extent on the students - their wants and expectations; as well as their interest, needs and objectives. In lessons I like to keep the activities and pace varied in order to keep the student engaged. I tend towards a friendly personal tone, particularly in one to one lessons.Mes ressources d'enseignement

Simon is a great teacher. I really enjoy every lesson with Simon. Each lesson is different from the previous one. He immediately determines the level of your knowledge and tries to develop your English skills. And thanks for his patience, because not all students speak the language at a good level. I will continue to study with Simon further, because I feel how my English is getting better.
