Hi, my name is Riku. I studied in the UK and worked in Mexico. I have been teaching Japanese for over 1 year and helping foreigners who want to work in Japan. I like doing a workout, swimming, reading, listening to music, dancing, singing, traveling, learning foreign languages. I absolutely understand how difficult it is to learn foreign languages because I also spent tons of time learning English and Spanish. It is my passion to teach for those who have been struggling to learn Japanese.

Moi en tant que professeur

- Teaching experience in foreign countries I have taught Japanese at university in Mexico and high school in Honduras as a volunteer tutor. In Mexico, I was tutoring and mentoring local students who major in the Japanese language once a week for half a year. In Honduras, I taught Japanese to local high school students for a week as a volunteer tutor. - Teaching experience as an online tutor I have been teaching Japanese from Kids to adult-age foreign people via other language teaching platforms. I basically have 30 active students in a week. I get used to teaching Japanese via online video.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

- My lessons & teaching style Broadly speaking I have two teaching methods. The first one is a conversation-based lesson. We talk in Japanese and I point out when I found vocabularies or grammatical errors. Later, I will ask a student why I pointed out to make sure that the student really understands my indication. The second one is a grammar and vocabulary text-based lesson. I will provide study materials like PDF, e-books, Word file...etc Then, we will work on contexts and questions. The purpose of this is to get correct Japanese grammar and vocabulary. I have all materials for beginner, intermediate, advanced level students.

Thank you today’s lesson I learned so much, at the end it was a lot of information but I feel like I am learning at a good pace and will eventually get to know a good amount of Japanese. Can’t wait for the next lesson!
